"Anyone using gotd socks5? How reliable is it for your needs?"

Hey folks,

Been testing out gotd socks5 for a bit now and wanted to see how others are finding it. For me, speeds are decent, but sometimes the connection drops outta nowhere. Not a dealbreaker, but kinda annoying when it happens mid-session.

Anyone else run into this? Or is it just my setup? Also, how’s the uptime for you guys?

On the plus side, the IP rotation seems smooth, and it’s been solid for scraping. But yeah, curious if it’s just me or if others have mixed feelings too.

Would love to hear your experiences—good or bad!

"What’s your experience with gotd socks5? Pros and cons?"

Yo,

Tried gotd socks5 for a couple weeks now. Here’s my take:

Pros:
- Cheap af compared to some others
- IPs rotate clean, good for bypassing blocks
- Setup was easy, no weird configs

Cons:
- Speeds can be hit or miss
- Had a few random disconnects
- Support’s kinda slow

Overall, it’s *alright* for the price, but not perfect. What’s your vibe with it?

"Is gotd socks5 still a solid choice for proxies these days?"

Hey,

With all the new proxy services popping up, is gotd socks5 still holding up? Used it a year ago and it was decent, but wondering if it’s fallen behind.

Heard some ppl say it’s gotten slower, others swear by it. What’s the consensus now?

If you’ve switched, what’re you using instead? Just tryna see if it’s worth sticking with or moving on.

Cheers!
I've been using gotd socks5 for about a month now, and honestly, it's a mixed bag. The speeds are okay for basic browsing, but if you're doing heavy scraping, it can get sluggish.

The random disconnects are real—super annoying when you're in the middle of something. I switched to Luminati for a bit, but it's way pricier.

Anyone found a fix for the drops? Maybe a different client or config?
Yo, gotd socks5 is my go-to for sneaker bots. The IP rotation is fire, and it’s cheap enough to run multiple threads.

But yeah, the disconnects happen. I just auto-reconnect and keep it moving. For the price, I can’t complain too much.

If you need something more stable, try IPRoyal. Little more expensive but way fewer drops.
Used gotd socks5 for a few weeks and ditched it. The uptime was trash, and support never got back to me.

Switched to Smartproxy and it’s been smooth sailing. Better speeds, no random cuts.

If you’re just testing stuff, gotd is fine. But for serious work, nah.
Kinda surprised by the hate here. Gotd socks5 has been solid for me. Yeah, occasional drops, but nothing crazy.

I use it with Proxifier and tweaked the timeout settings—helps a ton. Also, their residential IPs are legit for bypassing captchas.

Maybe y’all just got bad luck with servers?
Thanks for all the feedback, guys! Sounds like gotd socks5 is a love-it-or-hate-it thing.

Gonna tweak my timeout settings like someone suggested and see if that helps with the drops. Also, might test out Smartproxy for comparison.

Anyone got a discount code for IPRoyal or Oxylabs? Lol, worth a shot.
Man, gotd socks5 is hit or miss. Some days it’s flawless, other days it’s like dial-up.

The big plus? The IP pool is huge. I’ve scraped sites with zero blocks for weeks.

But if you need consistency, check out Oxylabs. Pricey, but worth it if uptime matters.
Lol, gotd socks5 is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It’s dirt cheap, so I don’t expect miracles.

For casual stuff, it’s fine. But if you’re running anything time-sensitive, look elsewhere.

PS: Their support is basically nonexistent. Don’t bother.
Been using gotd socks5 for months. It’s not perfect, but for the price, it’s hard to beat.

The key is to rotate sessions frequently. I set my bot to refresh every 10 mins, and it cuts down on drops.

If you’re on a budget, stick with it. If not, maybe try Bright Data.
