Are AT&T DNS Servers Reliable for Fast and Secure Internet Browsing?

Hey everyone,
So I’ve been using at&t dns servers for a while now, and I’m kinda curious... are they actually reliable for fast and secure browsing? Like, I’ve heard mixed things, and tbh, sometimes my internet feels a bit slow.

Do you guys think at&t dns servers are good enough for streaming or gaming without lag? Or should I switch to something like Google DNS or Cloudflare?

Also, how secure are they? I don’t wanna deal with sketchy stuff or random redirects, ya know?

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with at&t dns servers! Thx in advance!
I’ve been using at&t dns servers for a while too, and honestly, they’re decent but not the best. For streaming and gaming, I’ve noticed some lag spikes, especially during peak hours.

If you’re looking for something faster, I’d recommend trying Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1). It’s super quick and has better security features. I switched a few months ago, and my ping in games improved a lot.

As for security, at&t dns servers are okay, but they don’t block malicious sites as effectively as something like Quad9. Just my two cents!
AT&T DNS servers are fine for basic browsing, but they’re not the fastest for gaming or streaming. I switched to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) a while back, and it’s been way better for reducing lag.

If you’re worried about security, you can use a tool like DNSBench to test different DNS servers and see which one works best for your location. It’s free and super easy to use.

Honestly, I’d say give Google DNS or Cloudflare a shot. You might notice a big difference!
I’ve had mixed experiences with at&t dns servers too. Sometimes they’re fine, but other times my internet feels super slow, especially when I’m streaming Netflix or playing online games.

I switched to OpenDNS a few months ago, and it’s been a game-changer. It’s faster, and they have built-in phishing protection, which is a nice bonus.

If you’re curious about DNS performance, you can use a site like DNSPerf to compare speeds. It’s pretty handy!

If you’re worried about random redirects or sketchy sites, I’d recommend using a DNS with built-in security features. Cloudflare and Quad9 are both great options.

Also, if you’re into tech stuff, you can test your DNS speed with tools like Namebench. It’s a quick way to see which DNS server works best for you.
I’ve been using at&t dns servers for years, and they’re okay, but not amazing. For gaming, I’ve noticed some lag, especially in fast-paced games.

I switched to Google DNS a while ago, and it’s been way better. My ping is lower, and I haven’t had any issues with random redirects or sketchy sites.

If you’re looking for something faster and more secure, I’d say give Google DNS or Cloudflare a try. You can always switch back if you don’t like it!
AT&T DNS servers are fine for casual browsing, but they’re not the best for gaming or streaming. I’ve had better luck with Cloudflare DNS. It’s faster and more secure, plus it’s free.

If you’re worried about security, you can use a tool like DNS Leak Test to make sure your DNS is working properly. It’s a quick and easy way to check for issues.

Honestly, I’d say give Cloudflare a shot. It’s been a big improvement for me!
Thanks for all the replies, everyone! I decided to give Cloudflare DNS a try, and wow, it’s been a huge improvement. My streaming is way smoother, and I haven’t noticed any lag while gaming.

I also ran a DNS speed test using DNSPerf, and Cloudflare was definitely faster than at&t dns servers for my location.

One quick question though—does anyone know if Cloudflare DNS works well with VPNs? I’ve been thinking about adding one for extra security, but I’m not sure if it’ll mess with the DNS settings. Thanks again for all the help!
