Hey! Had the same Kite error 407 issue last week. Turns out it was a conflict with my antivirus. Whitelisted Kite in Avast and boom, fixed.

Maybe check your AV settings? Also, Kite’s support page has a troubleshooting guide for error 407—worth a peek.

Ugh, Kite error 407 is the worst. Mine stopped after I cleared the app cache.

Go to %appdata%, delete the Kite folder, then reinstall. Worked for me, but YMMV.

Yo, same prob here. Found a thread on Stack Overflow suggesting it’s a server-side glitch.

Try switching to a different network or VPN. Sometimes Kite’s servers freak out with certain IPs.

Kite error 407 kept hitting me too. Fixed it by rolling back to an older version of Kite.

Their GitHub repo has past releases—v1.2.3 worked for me. New updates can be buggy af.
