The big issue with open proxies is trust. Zero accountability.

You’re basically handing your traffic to a stranger and hoping they’re nice.

For actual privacy, Tor or a VPN with a strict no-logs policy (like Nord or ExpressVPN) is the way to go.
"if it’s free, you’re the product" applies hard to open proxies.

maybe fine for quick, throwaway tasks, but I wouldn’t log into anything personal.
