"Where’s the best place to see my time spent online today? Need help!"

Hey guys, I’ve been trying to cut down on my screen time but idk where to even start.

Is there like a simple way to see my time spent online today? My phone’s built-in thing is kinda confusing, and I don’t wanna dig through settings forever.

Any apps or tricks you’d recommend? Preferably something that doesn’t need a ton of setup lol.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

(Also, if you’ve got tips for staying off YouTube rabbit holes, I’m all ears 😅)

*Short, casual, and to the point—let me know if you'd tweak anything!*
If you wanna see my time spent online today, I swear by RescueTime! It tracks everything automatically and breaks it down into categories.

Super easy setup—just install and forget. Plus, it gives you weekly reports so you can spot those YouTube binges.

For staying off rabbit holes, I use StayFocusd (Chrome extension). It blocks sites after a set time. Lifesaver!
On iPhone, Screen Time is actually pretty solid once you get used to it.

Go to Settings > Screen Time > See All Activity. Shows daily/weekly usage and even app pickups.

Android has Digital Wellbeing, but yeah, it’s buried in settings. Try Moment app if you want something simpler!
Forest app is my go-to! You plant a virtual tree, and if you leave the app, the tree dies. Sounds silly but works.

For tracking, it shows your focus sessions and screen time. Plus, you can see my time spent online today in a fun way.

Bonus: They plant real trees if you buy the premium version. Win-win!
If you’re on Android, check out ActionDash. It’s like Digital Wellbeing but way more detailed and user-friendly.

Shows app usage, unlocks, and even sets goals.

For YouTube, I enable "Remind me to take a break" in the app settings. Helps a ton!
I feel you—built-in tools are clunky. Try Toggl Track!

It’s meant for work but you can manually log time or let it run in the background. Super lightweight.

For YouTube, I just delete the app on my phone. Out of sight, out of mind lol.
Tbh, I just use a spreadsheet. Sounds old-school, but I note down my screen time every few hours.

Makes me more aware than any app.

For YouTube, I use "Unhook" extension to hide recommendations. No more rabbit holes!
If you want a no-frills way to see my time spent online today, Checky is great.

It just counts your phone pickups and screen time. No fancy graphs, just straight numbers.

Sometimes simple is better!
OP here—wow, thanks for all the suggestions!

Tried RescueTime and Forest so far, and they’re both awesome.

Still struggling with YouTube though—anyone else use "Distraction Free YT" extension? Heard mixed things.

Also, anyone know if these apps drain battery? My phone’s already struggling lol.
For a deep dive, try ManicTime on PC. Tracks everything—apps, websites, even idle time.

Mobile version exists too but I haven’t tried it.

For YouTube, I set a 20-minute timer. When it rings, I force myself to close the tab. Brutal but effective.
