"how do i turn off proxy?? my internet’s acting weird and i think it’s stuck on some proxy setting.

seriously, every site i try to open just redirects or won’t load. i’ve messed around in settings but no luck.

i’m on windows/chrome (idk if that matters) but pls help a bro out. is there a quick fix or do i gotta dig deeper?

also, why is this even a thing? proxies are so annoying when u don’t need ‘em.

"how do i turn off proxy?

my browser’s forcing some proxy and i can’t browse normally. checked settings but it’s like... still there?

anyone else dealt with this? tips appreciated!"
yo, had the same issue last week! for chrome, go to settings > system > open proxy settings (or just type "proxy settings" in windows search).

turn off anything that says "use a proxy server." sometimes malware messes with this, so run a scan with malwarebytes just in case.

proxies suck when they’re forced, fr. hope this helps!
ugh, proxies are the worst. if you’re on windows, try this:

1. press win + r, type "inetcpl.cpl" and hit enter.
2. go to connections > lan settings.
3. uncheck "use a proxy server."

also, check chrome’s extensions—some sketchy ones force proxies. disable anything sus.
bro, i feel you. had this exact "how do i turn off proxy" panic last month.

quick fix: reset chrome flags. type "chrome://flags" in the url bar, search "proxy," and reset everything.

if that fails, try reinstalling chrome. sounds drastic but works.
hey! if you’ve tried the usual proxy settings and it’s still stuck, your system might be hijacked.

download "proxycap" or "fiddler" to see what’s rerouting your traffic.

also, check your router settings—sometimes the problem’s there, not your pc.
lol proxies are like ghosts—they haunt you when you least expect it.

for chrome, type "chrome://settings/system" and disable "use a proxy server." if it’s grayed out, you might need admin rights.

try a vpn to bypass it temporarily? nordvpn has a free trial.
this happened to me after i installed some "free" software. smh.

go to control panel > internet options > connections tab > lan settings. uncheck the proxy box.

if it keeps coming back, scan for malware. hitmanpro is good for this.

yo, thanks for all the tips! i unchecked the proxy server box in lan settings and it worked... for like 5 mins. then it came back??

is there a way to stop it from resetting? or is this def malware?

also, anyone know why chrome flags would mess with proxies? kinda weird.

appreciate the help tho! 🙌
