"Any Tips for Optimizing gost switchyomega for Faster Switching?"
hey folks! been using gost switchyomega for a while now, and it's *mostly* solid, but sometimes the proxy switching feels a bit sluggish. anyone got tricks to speed it up?
i’ve tried clearing cache, reducing the number of rules, but still get random delays.
also, does disabling auto-reload help? or maybe a lighter profile setup?
kinda annoying when u need to switch quick mid-work. pls share ur hacks if u got ‘em!

*ps: if u think there’s a better tool now, lmk too. but i’m kinda attached to gost switchyomega lol.*
Hey! I had the same issue with gost switchyomega. What worked for me was disabling the "Fast Switch" option in the settings. Sounds counterintuitive, but it actually reduced the lag for me.
Also, try trimming down your rule list—too many rules can slow it down. If you're using a ton of wildcards, maybe simplify them.
For a lighter alternative, check out Proxy SwitchySharp. It's older but way snappier for basic proxy switching.
yo, i feel u. gost switchyomega can be a bit slow sometimes.
try this: go to chrome://flags and enable "Experimental QUIC protocol." Sounds weird, but it helped me with proxy delays.
also, make sure ur not running too many extensions. they can clash with switchyomega.
if ur still stuck, maybe give FoxyProxy a shot? it's simpler but faster for quick switches.
Disabling auto-reload *definitely* helps! I noticed a big difference after turning it off.
Another tip: clear your DNS cache regularly. Sometimes gost switchyomega gets hung up on old DNS entries.
For a faster alternative, Proxy Helper is pretty lightweight. Not as feature-rich, but it’s instant for switching.
I’ve been using gost switchyomega for years, and the biggest speed boost came from splitting my profiles.
Instead of one mega-profile with all rules, I made a few smaller ones for different use cases (work, streaming, etc.). Switching between lighter profiles is way faster.
Also, check your PAC script—if it’s too complex, it’ll slow things down.
Random delays? Yeah, that’s usually DNS. Try forcing gost switchyomega to use a faster DNS like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
Also, disable "Predict network actions" in Chrome settings. It conflicts with proxy tools sometimes.
If you’re open to alternatives, Windscribe’s proxy extension is super quick, but it’s not as customizable.
Pro tip: Reduce the number of active proxy servers in your gost switchyomega profile. Too many options = more delay.
And yeah, auto-reload is a killer. Turn it off unless you *really* need it.
For a faster switch, try manually refreshing the page after changing proxies. Annoying, but it works.
gost switchyomega can be sluggish if your rules overlap too much. Try organizing them better—specific rules first, wildcards last.
Also, Chrome’s built-in proxy settings sometimes interfere. Make sure they’re set to "Direct connection" when using switchyomega.
If you’re fed up, ProxyCap is a paid but *blazing* fast alternative.
Hey! Had the same problem. Found that disabling "Bypass proxy for local addresses" in gost switchyomega settings sped things up.
Also, try switching to a lighter browser like Firefox or Edge just for proxy work. Chrome can be bloated.
FoxyProxy Basic is a good fallback if you need speed over features.
OP here—wow, thanks for all the tips! Didn’t expect so many fixes.
Tried disabling auto-reload and trimming my rules, and it’s *way* smoother now. Still testing the DNS stuff, but already noticing a difference.
Gonna give FoxyProxy a shot too, but for now, sticking with gost switchyomega. Y’all rock!
(ps: anyone got a good PAC script tutorial? mine’s a mess lol.)
