"Proxy SwitchyOmega Not Working? Any Fixes or Alternatives?"

Ugh, so frustrated rn. Proxy SwitchyOmega was working fine yesterday, but today it’s just... not. Tried restarting Chrome, reloading the extension, even reinstalled it. Nada.

Anyone else having this issue? Maybe it’s a Chrome update thing?

If you’ve got fixes, pls share! Or if there’s a solid alternative to proxy switchyomega, lmk. Heard about FoxyProxy, but idk if it’s as flexible.

Also, side note: my auto-switch rules seem broken. Like, it just ignores them?? So weird.

Help a fellow netizen out! 🙏
Yeah, same issue here! Proxy SwitchyOmega stopped working after Chrome updated to v120.

Try disabling all other extensions first—sometimes conflicts happen. If that doesn’t help, downgrade Chrome or switch to Firefox + Proxy SwitchyOmega (works smoother there imo).

For alternatives, FoxyProxy is decent but lacks auto-switch rules. Proxy Helper is another option, but it’s paid.

Let us know if u find a fix!
Bro, I feel you. Proxy SwitchyOmega has been glitchy for weeks.

Quick fix: Clear Chrome’s cache + reset proxy settings. Also, check if your PAC script is corrupted—had that happen once.

If you’re done with it, try "Proxy Helper" or "SmartProxy". Less features but more stable rn.
Ugh, Chrome updates break everything. Proxy SwitchyOmega worked fine till last week.

Try this:
- Go to chrome://flags
- Search for "Network Service" and disable it.
- Restart Chrome.

Works for some ppl. If not, maybe time to switch to FoxyProxy Basic?
Had the same prob! Turns out my antivirus was blocking Proxy SwitchyOmega silently.

Check your AV/firewall settings. Also, try loading a fresh profile in Chrome—sometimes extensions freak out with old data.

For alternatives, "Proxy Switcher" is lightweight but not as powerful.
Proxy SwitchyOmega’s auto-switch rules are busted for me too.

Temp fix: Manually export your rules, reinstall the extension, then import them back. Weirdly worked for me.

If you’re looking for alternatives, "Proxyium" is underrated but super flexible.
Chrome’s been a nightmare with extensions lately. Proxy SwitchyOmega is just one victim.

Try Firefox + SwitchyOmega combo—way more stable.

Or if you’re stuck on Chrome, "Proxy SwitchySharp" is an older fork that might work.
OP here—thanks for all the suggestions!

Tried the chrome://flags trick + reinstalling Proxy SwitchyOmega, and it’s kinda working now? Auto-switch rules are still flaky tho.

Gonna test FoxyProxy tomorrow. Anyone know if it handles PAC files well?

Also, big shoutout to whoever suggested checking AV settings—totally forgot about that! 🙌
Auto-switch rules ignoring you? Same.

Found a workaround: Toggle "Reload" in Proxy SwitchyOmega’s settings after editing rules. Annoying, but it forces a refresh.

For alternatives, "ProxyTool" is minimal but reliable.
Proxy SwitchyOmega hates Chrome updates, lol.

Try this:
1. Disable extension.
2. Delete its folder from chrome://extensions (developer mode).
3. Reinstall.

If that fails, "ProxyMaster" is a decent fallback.
