"Is Airtable Pricing Worth It for Small Teams? Breaking Down the Plans"

Hey everyone!

So my small team (just 5 of us) is looking into Airtable pricing, and tbh, it’s kinda confusing. The free plan is cool for starters, but we’re hitting limits fast.

The Team plan is $20/user/month—seems steep? But idk if the extra features (like advanced calendar views) are worth it.

Anyone else in a small team using Airtable? How’s the pricing working for you? Are you sticking with free or upgrading?

Also, is there a sweet spot where Airtable pricing actually makes sense, or are we better off with something else?

Thanks in advance! Smile

We're a team of 6 and we switched from the free plan to the Team plan last month. Honestly, the airtable pricing felt high at first, but the advanced features saved us so much time.

The calendar views and extra automation slots are game-changers. If you're hitting limits, it's worth the upgrade.

But yeah, if you're just starting, maybe stick with free a bit longer or check out Notion—it’s cheaper for basic stuff.
I feel you! Airtable pricing is confusing af. We tried the free plan but moved to the Plus plan ($10/user) instead of Team.

It’s a good middle ground—more records and some extra features without breaking the bank.

For small teams, I’d say Plus is the sweet spot unless you *really* need those advanced views.
Honestly, for 5 people, airtable pricing might not be worth it. We switched to ClickUp because it’s way cheaper and does similar stuff.

Airtable’s great for databases, but if you don’t need super complex stuff, there are better options.

Check out Coda too—it’s like Airtable but with more doc-style flexibility.
We’re a team of 4 and we’re still on the free plan lol. We just work around the limits by splitting stuff into multiple bases.

Not ideal, but it works for now. If you’re tight on budget, you can probably stretch the free plan longer than you think.

But yeah, if you need more, the Team plan is solid—just pricey.
Airtable pricing is steep, but it depends on what you’re using it for. We’re in marketing and the Team plan’s integrations are a lifesaver.

If you’re just tracking basic stuff, maybe look at Google Sheets + AppSheet? Way cheaper but less fancy.

But if you’re all-in on Airtable, the upgrade is worth it imo.
Wow, thanks for all the insights! Didn’t expect so many options.

We’re gonna test the Plus plan for a month and see how it goes. The Team plan sounds great, but maybe overkill for us rn.

Also, Baserow looks interesting—definitely checking that out.

Appreciate the help! Smile
We tried the Team plan for 3 months and then downgraded to Plus. The extra features were nice, but not $20/user nice.

Unless you’re drowning in data, Plus is enough. Also, keep an eye out for discounts—Airtable sometimes offers deals for small teams.
For small teams, airtable pricing can feel like overkill. We switched to Baserow (open-source alternative) and it’s been great.

Same functionality, way cheaper. If you’re tech-savvy, it’s worth a look.

Otherwise, stick with Airtable’s free plan until you *really* hit a wall.
We’re a team of 5 and we bit the bullet on the Team plan. No regrets—the collaboration features alone saved us hours.

But yeah, it’s not cheap. If you’re not using it daily, maybe explore other tools like Notion or Trello first.

Airtable’s powerful, but only if you need that power.
