"What’s the best way to find a good proxy these days?"

Hey everyone,

I’ve been struggling to find a good proxy that actually works without slowing my connection to a crawl. Every time I think I’ve found one, it either gets blocked or just stops working after a few days.

What do you guys use? I need something reliable for basic browsing and maybe a bit of streaming. Free is cool, but I’m willing to pay if it’s worth it.

Also, what makes a good proxy anyway? Speed? Location? Or just not getting detected instantly?

Any tips or recommendations would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

(Also, if you’ve got a referral link or something, feel free to drop it—no shame here lol.)
I feel your pain! Finding a good proxy is like hunting for unicorns these days.

I’ve had luck with Luminati (now Bright Data). It’s paid, but the speeds are solid, and they’ve got tons of locations.

For free options, HideMyAss has a decent trial, but yeah, free proxies usually suck after a while.

Speed and uptime matter most for me. If it’s slow or dies every hour, what’s the point?
Honestly, just avoid free proxies if you care about reliability. They’re either slow or packed with bots.

I swear by Smartproxy—affordable and works for streaming. Their residential IPs rarely get blocked.

Also, check if the proxy supports HTTPS. Some cheap ones don’t, and that’s a red flag.
Yo, try Oxylabs. Pricey but worth it if you need consistency.

Free stuff? ProxyScrape has a list, but no guarantees. Rotating proxies might help if yours keep dying.

Good proxy = low latency + doesn’t get banned instantly. Location matters if you’re geo-unblocking.
For basic browsing, NordVPN’s proxy feature works fine. Not the fastest, but stable.

If you’re techy, set up your own with AWS or Google Cloud. More control, but takes effort.

Avoid public proxies—they’re sketchy and slow af.
I’ve been using Storm Proxies for a month now. No complaints—speeds are decent, and they don’t drop often.

Free proxies are a gamble. VPNBook has some, but they’re hit or miss.

A good proxy needs to balance speed and anonymity. If it’s too fast but gets blocked, what’s the point?
Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! Definitely gonna check out Bright Data and Smartproxy—seems like paid is the move.

Quick question though: Anyone tried Soax? Saw it mentioned elsewhere and curious if it’s worth the hype.

Also, big thanks for the heads-up on free proxies. Learned my lesson the hard way lol.
GeoSurf is my go-to for streaming. A bit pricey, but their IPs rarely get flagged.

Free proxies? Nah, too risky. You’ll waste more time fixing issues than actually using them.

Look for providers with a trial. Test before committing.
Lol, free proxies are like free pizza—sounds great till you get food poisoning.

PrivateProxy has been solid for me. Fast and doesn’t log your stuff.

Also, check the ping before buying. High ping = laggy mess.
If you’re just browsing, Hola VPN is okay (but sketchy long-term).

For reliability, Blazing SEO proxies are underrated. Good speeds, decent pricing.

A good proxy should be fast *and* stealthy. If it’s detected too easy, it’s useless.
