"Looking for a reliable british proxy server – any recommendations?"

Hey folks!

I’ve been trying to access some UK-only content lately, and my current VPN is just not cutting it. Need a solid british proxy server that’s fast, doesn’t drop every 5 mins, and actually works with geo-blocks.

Any suggestions? Preferably one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg lol.

Also, if you’ve got tips on setting it up (I’m kinda new to this), that’d be awesome. Cheers!

*PS: Bonus points if it’s good for streaming too. Tried a couple already, and they were painfully slow.*
Hey! I’ve been using SmartDNSProxy for a british proxy server, and it’s been solid for streaming BBC iPlayer and All4.

Setup’s pretty easy—just change your DNS settings, and you’re good to go. Speeds are decent, and it doesn’t break the bank.

Only downside is it’s not a full VPN, so if you need encryption, might wanna look elsewhere. But for geo-unblocking, it’s ace.
Lol feel your pain with the VPN drops. I switched to PrivateVPN’s british proxy servers last month, and it’s been a game-changer.

Super fast for streaming, and they’ve got guides on their site for setup (even for noobs).

Price-wise, it’s mid-range but worth it imo. They do free trials too, so you can test before committing.
If you’re after a free option, Hola VPN has UK servers, but… eh, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes works fine for streaming, other times it’s slower than dial-up.

For a paid one, NordVPN’s british proxy servers are reliable af. A bit pricier, but no buffering on Netflix UK.
Pro tip: Avoid free british proxy servers if you care about speed and reliability. They’re usually overcrowded or sketchy.

I’d recommend Windscribe—build your own plan, so you only pay for what you need. Their UK servers are quick, and the setup’s dummy-proof.
Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! Didn’t expect so many options.

Tried NordVPN’s british proxy server based on the recs, and it’s working way better than my old one. Still testing speeds for streaming, but so far so good.

Quick Q: Anyone know if these work with Sky Go? Heard it’s a pain to bypass. Cheers!
Yo, check out TorGuard. Their british proxy servers are optimized for streaming, and you can get a dedicated IP if you’re serious about avoiding blocks.

Bit technical to set up, but their support team will walk you through it. Not the cheapest, but zero drops so far.
Honestly, just get Surfshark. Cheap, unlimited devices, and their british proxy servers work with pretty much every UK site I’ve tried.

No setup hassle—just install and connect. Also good for torrenting if that’s your thing.
For a no-frills option, HideMyAss has decent UK servers. Not the fastest, but they’ve never failed me for basic geo-unblocking.

Plus, their app is super beginner-friendly. Just don’t expect 4K streaming without some lag.
