"Looking for a Reliable Proxy Tester – Any Recommendations?"

Hey folks,

I’ve been testing a bunch of proxies lately, but man, it’s a pain to find a good proxy tester that actually works. Some just give false positives or take forever to run.

Anyone got a solid recommendation? Free or paid, doesn’t matter as long as it’s accurate.

Also, do you guys check for speed, anonymity, or just uptime? Kinda new to this, so any tips would help!

Thanks in advance!

"Free vs. Paid Proxy Testers – Which One Works Best for You?"

Sup everyone,

I’ve been using free proxy testers for a while, but honestly, they’re hit or miss. Sometimes they work great, other times… not so much.

Thinking of switching to a paid one, but is it *really* worth it? Like, does a paid proxy tester actually give better results, or am I just wasting cash?

What’s your experience? Stick with free tools or splurge for the premium stuff?

Cheers!
I've been using ProxyNova for a while now, and it's been pretty solid for checking uptime and anonymity.

It's free, but sometimes it’s slow if you’re testing a huge batch.

For speed, I’d recommend Luminati’s tester—paid, but way more accurate.

What’s your main use case? Scraping or just general anonymity?
Yo, paid proxy testers are 100% worth it if you’re serious. Free ones like HideMyAss’s checker are okay for basic stuff, but they miss a lot of dead proxies.

I switched to Oxylabs’ proxy tester, and the difference is night and day. Faster, fewer false positives.

If you’re just testing a few, free is fine. But for bulk? Go paid.
Honestly, most free proxy testers are trash. They’ll say a proxy is live when it’s actually dead.

I use ScraperAPI’s built-in checker—it’s not free, but it saves me so much time.

Also, always check for geolocation accuracy. Some testers skip that, and it’s a huge deal if you need location-specific proxies.
Hey, newbie here too! I’ve been using ProxyScrape’s free tester, and it’s decent for small batches.

But yeah, speed is hit or miss.

For anonymity, I manually check headers with a site like IPLeak. Not the fastest, but super reliable.

Anyone got a faster way to test anonymity?
Paid > free, no question. Free proxy testers are like playing Russian roulette.

I use Smartproxy’s tool—it’s cheap and covers speed, uptime, and anonymity.

If you’re on a budget, at least try the free trials of paid tools before settling for a free one.
Man, I feel you. Spent hours troubleshooting bad proxies because of crappy testers.

My go-to is Pingdom + a custom script to check response times. Not a dedicated proxy tester, but it works.

For a ready-made solution, ProxyCheck.io is decent and free.
Free tools are fine for casual use, but if you’re running a business, don’t cheap out.

I use GeoSurf’s proxy tester—it’s pricey, but the accuracy is unmatched.

Also, always test for DNS leaks. Some testers ignore that, and it’s a huge red flag.
Dude, just use Postman or cURL if you’re tech-savvy.

Most proxy testers are overkill unless you’re testing hundreds.

For a quick check, IP2Location’s free tool works. Not perfect, but gets the job done.
I’ve tried SO many proxy testers, and the best free one I’ve found is ProxyFire.

It’s a bit old-school, but it’s fast and reliable.

For paid, Bright Data’s tester is top-tier.

Do you need SOCKS support? Some testers skip that.
