"Looking for the best proxy—any recommendations?"
Hey guys,
I’ve been digging around for the best proxy that’s fast, secure, and doesn’t drop every 5 mins. So many options out there, but half of ‘em are either slow as molasses or sketchy af.
What’s your go-to? Need something reliable for streaming, maybe a bit of light scraping. Budget’s flexible, but don’t wanna get ripped off.
Heard mixed things about Luminati, Oxylabs, etc.—are they still the best proxy choices these days? Or any hidden gems?
Also, anyone tried residential vs. datacenter? Which one’s better for speed without getting blocked every other sec?
Thanks in advance! 🙏
(PS: If it’s got a free trial, even better lol.)
If you're looking for the best proxy, I’d say Smartproxy is a solid pick. Used it for scraping and streaming, and it’s pretty reliable.
Their residential proxies are decently fast, and they don’t get blocked as often as datacenter ones. Plus, they have a free trial, so you can test it out first.
Luminati’s good but pricey. Oxylabs is overkill unless you’re doing heavy-duty stuff.
Yo, I’ve been through the proxy struggle too lol. For streaming, residential proxies are the way to go—less likely to get flagged.
Check out GeoSurf. Not as hyped as Luminati, but way cheaper and just as reliable.
Datacenter proxies are faster but get blocked easy. If you’re just scraping lightly, maybe try Soax? They’ve got a trial too.
Honestly, the best proxy depends on what you’re doing. For streaming, you NEED residential. Datacenter proxies get detected way too fast.
I’ve had good luck with Bright Data (formerly Luminati). Yeah, it’s pricey, but it works.
If budget’s tight, try Proxy-Seller. Not as fancy, but gets the job done.
Luminati and Oxylabs are overrated unless you’re a big company. For personal use, they’re just too expensive.
I’d recommend Storm Proxies. Cheap, fast, and good for light scraping. Their rotating proxies are a lifesaver.
Residential > datacenter if you hate getting blocked every 2 seconds.
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! Definitely gonna check out Smartproxy and GeoSurf first since they’ve got free trials.
Quick question though—anyone have experience with rotating proxies? Heard they’re good for avoiding bans but not sure if they’re worth the extra setup.
Also, yeah, Luminati sounds like overkill for my needs. Appreciate the heads-up!
Dude, just avoid free proxies. They’re all trash—slow, unsafe, and packed with bots.
For a balance of speed and reliability, try IPRoyal. Their residential proxies are solid, and they’ve got a pay-as-you-go option.
Also, yeah, Luminati is still king, but only if you’ve got deep pockets.
If you’re scraping, datacenter proxies are faster but riskier. Residential is slower but stealthier.
My go-to is NetNut. Works great for streaming and doesn’t break the bank.
Oxylabs is good but way too expensive for what it offers. Hidden gem? Try Shifter.
For streaming, you gotta go residential. Datacenter proxies get banned way too fast.
I’ve been using Microleaves for a while now. Cheap and reliable. Not the fastest, but it gets the job done.
Luminati is overkill unless you’re running a business.
Best proxy for scraping? Definitely residential. Datacenter is faster but gets blocked constantly.
I’ve tried a bunch, and ProxyEmpire is underrated. Good speeds, decent prices, and they don’t drop.
Oxylabs is good but not worth the $$$ for casual use.
