Title: What’s the Best US Proxy for Fast and Reliable Connections?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been testing a few us proxy services lately, and tbh, some are *painfully* slow. Like, waiting-for-pages-to-load slow. 😩

Anyone got recs for a us proxy that’s actually fast *and* reliable? Need it for streaming and light browsing, but some just throttle speeds like crazy.

Also, does location matter? Like, should I pick a server closer to me even if it’s a us proxy? Or does that not make much diff?

Thanks in advance! (and pls no sketchy free proxies lol)

Title: Why Is My US Proxy So Slow? Any Fixes or Better Options?

Ugh, my us proxy has been crawling lately. Used to work fine, but now it’s like dial-up speeds.

Anyone else deal with this? Is it the provider, or maybe my settings? Tried switching servers, but no luck.

If you’ve got a better us proxy suggestion—one that doesn’t lag—I’m all ears. Bonus points if it’s budget-friendly.

Thx! 🙏

Title: How Do I Choose a Secure US Proxy That Doesn’t Slow Me Down?

Looking for a us proxy that’s *both* secure and speedy. So many options claim "no logs" but then throttle your connection to death.

What should I prioritize? Encryption? Server locations? Or just go with whatever’s cheapest?

Let me know if you'd tweak any of these!
I feel your pain! I was in the same boat until I switched to Bright Data (used to be Luminati). Their us proxy speeds are solid, especially for streaming.

Location *does* matter—picking a server closer to you cuts down latency. But even their East Coast nodes worked fine for me on the West Coast.

Just avoid their "residential" proxies if you're on a budget. The datacenter ones are cheaper and still fast.
yo, try IPRoyal’s us proxy. Cheap and surprisingly good for browsing/streaming.

Their LA servers never throttle me, and I’ve been using em for months.

Also, check your own internet first—sometimes it’s not the proxy, it’s your ISP being trash.
If speed’s your priority, ditch shared proxies and go private. I use Oxylabs’ dedicated us proxy and it’s night/day vs the free crap.

Yeah, it’s pricier, but zero throttling + you get a fixed IP. Worth it if you’re doing anything serious.

Pro tip: Test ping times b4 committing. Some providers offer trials.
Location 100% matters!! I ran tests with NordVPN’s us proxy servers (yes, they offer proxies too), and NYC to NYC was 3x faster than NYC to LA.

But tbh, most “slow” issues are from overcrowded servers. Rotate until you find a less busy one.
Stay away from free us proxy lists—total garbage. I wasted hours before caving and getting Smartproxy.

Their “backconnect” rotates IPs but keeps speeds decent. Not the *fastest*, but reliable for Netflix and stuff.

Also, encryption *will* slow you down a bit. If you’re just browsing, maybe skip the ultra-secure options.
OP reply:
Whoa, thanks for all the recs! Didn’t expect so many options.

Tried Oxylabs’ trial based on @user3’s suggestion and holy crap, the speed difference is real. Still pricey tho—might test IPRoyal next since a few of y’all vouched for it.

Quick Q: Anyone know if these work with Hulu? Some proxies get blocked even if they’re US-based.
Proxyscrape’s premium us proxy is my go-to. No logs, decent speeds, and you can filter by response time.

Their dashboard shows server load, so you can avoid the laggy ones.

And yeah, closer servers = better, but not always. Sometimes a less congested farther one beats a nearby dumpster fire.
