Subject: Looking for a fresh list of working proxies for scraping—any recommendations?

Hey folks,

I’ve been scraping a few sites lately, and my usual list of working proxies for scraping is kinda dead. Anyone got an updated one? Free or paid, doesn’t matter—just need something reliable.

I’ve checked a few forums and GitHub repos, but most lists are either outdated or super slow. If you’ve got a go-to source or even a personal list of working proxies for scraping, I’d really appreciate it!

Also, any tips on keeping them fresh? I’ve heard some people rotate them weekly, but not sure how well that works.

Thanks in advance!

(PS: If you’re gonna drop a link, pls make sure it’s not sketchy lol.)
Hey! I've been using ProxyScrape for a while now, and their list of working proxies for scraping is pretty solid. They update it regularly, and you can filter by speed/country.

Paid option is better if you're doing heavy scraping, but the free ones aren’t terrible for lighter tasks.

For rotation, I just use a simple script to ping and remove dead ones every few hours. Works like a charm.
Lol, good luck with free proxies—they’re always a gamble. I switched to Bright Data (used to be Luminati) and never looked back. Yeah, it’s paid, but their list of working proxies for scraping is *chef’s kiss*.

If you’re serious about scraping, just invest in it. Saves so much headache.
Check out Proxy-List on GitHub! It’s updated daily, and I’ve had decent luck with it. Not all proxies are blazing fast, but for a free list of working proxies for scraping, it’s one of the better ones.

Also, rotating them every 24h helps. Some get banned quick, so don’t get too attached lol.
Honestly, free proxies are hit or miss. I’ve had better luck with paid services like Smartproxy. Their residential proxies are great for scraping without getting blocked.

If you’re scraping a lot, just budget for it. Time wasted on dead proxies isn’t worth it.
Yo, try ScraperAPI. It’s not just a list of working proxies for scraping—it handles rotation, retries, and even CAPTCHAs. Saves me so much time.

Free trial is decent to test it out. After that, it’s paid, but totally worth it if you’re doing this regularly.
I scrape a ton, and my advice? Don’t rely on public lists. They’re always burned. I use Oxylabs—pricey, but their proxies are fresh and reliable.

For rotation, I automate it with Python + a health check. Dead ones get dumped automatically.
Free proxies? Good luck with that lol. I’ve been using Geonode, and their list of working proxies for scraping is pretty solid. Not free, but way more reliable.

Also, rotating every 12h works better for me. Less chance of getting banned.
Have you tried ProxyRack? Their free tier is okay, but the paid plans give you a much better list of working proxies for scraping.

For rotation, I just use a cron job to refresh my proxy pool daily. Simple but effective.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried ProxyScrape and it’s working way better than my old list. Still testing a few paid options, but this is a huge improvement.

Quick question—anyone know how often Proxy-List updates their GitHub repo? I don’t wanna grab stale proxies by accident.

Also, big shoutout to the cron job idea. Gonna set that up tonight.
