"Looking for a good data scraper extension—any recommendations?"

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to find a decent data scraper extension for Chrome, but most of the ones I’ve tested either break after updates or just don’t work as advertised.

Anyone got a solid recommendation? Free would be ideal, but I’m open to paid if it’s *actually* reliable.

Also, does anyone know if there’s a data scraper extension that doesn’t get messed up every time Chrome updates? So annoying when that happens.

Thanks in advance!

"Has anyone found a reliable data scraper extension that actually works?"

Yo,

I’m tired of wasting time on data scraper extensions (lol, typo) that promise the world but deliver nothing.

Seriously, though—anyone found one that’s *actually* reliable? Bonus points if it’s free and doesn’t die after a Chrome update.

I’ve tried a few, but they either miss data or just stop working randomly. Help a fellow scraper out?

Cheers!
I've been using Web Scraper for Chrome and it's been solid for me. It's free, works well for basic scraping, and hasn't broken after updates.

Not the most advanced, but if you need something simple and reliable, it’s worth a shot. Plus, the UI is pretty intuitive.

For more complex stuff, you might need a paid data scraper extension like ParseHub, but that’s overkill for most people.
Yo, try Instant Data Scraper! It’s free and stupid easy to use—just point and click.

I’ve had zero issues with Chrome updates messing it up, which is rare for a data scraper extension.

Only downside? It’s not great for super large datasets, but for quick scrapes, it’s a lifesaver.
Honestly, most free data scraper extensions are hit or miss. I gave up and switched to Octoparse.

It’s paid, but the cloud feature means it doesn’t rely on Chrome updates. Plus, the support is actually helpful when things go wrong.

If you’re scraping regularly, it’s worth the investment.
Have you checked out Scraper (yes, that’s the name lol)? It’s a Chrome data scraper extension that’s been around forever.

Works fine for tables and lists, and I haven’t had it break on me yet.

Not fancy, but gets the job done. Free too!
Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried Instant Data Scraper and it worked like a charm for my needs.

Quick question though—anyone know if Web Scraper handles pagination well? Might need that for my next project.

Appreciate the help!
Dude, skip extensions and try Apify. It’s a bit more involved, but way more reliable than any data scraper extension I’ve used.

You can run it in Chrome, but it’s cloud-based, so no worries about updates breaking it.

Free tier is decent for small projects.
I feel your pain—so many data scraper extensions are trash.

Data Miner is the only one I’ve stuck with. Paid, but the free version is solid for basics.

Plus, their team actually fixes bugs quickly, which is rare.
