Title: What’s the safest reddit proxy to use without getting flagged?

Hey y’all,

So I’ve been trying to find a solid reddit proxy that won’t get me insta-flagged. Tried a couple free ones, but they’re either slow as hell or get detected way too quick.

Anyone got recs for a reliable reddit proxy that actually works long-term? Preferably one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg lol.

Also, how risky is it to use one for scraping? Don’t wanna wake up to a ban hammer.

Thanks in advance!

I've been using Luminati for a while now, and it's been solid for reddit proxy needs. Yeah, it's not the cheapest, but it's reliable and rotates IPs well.

Just make sure you don't go crazy with scraping—keep it slow and steady. Reddit's anti-bot stuff is no joke, and even good proxies can get caught if you're too aggressive.

Also, avoid free proxies like the plague. They're almost always flagged already.
Yo, if you're looking for a budget-friendly reddit proxy, check out Smartproxy.

It's not as fancy as some others, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank. Used it for light scraping, and no bans so far.

Just don't be greedy with requests, or you'll regret it lol.
Honestly, most paid proxies will work fine if you're not spamming. I've had luck with Oxylabs for reddit proxy stuff, but it's pricey.

Free ones? Forget it. They're either dead slow or already blacklisted.

Big tip: Space out your requests and mimic human behavior. Reddit's detection is pretty sharp these days.
Try Proxyrack. It's decent for reddit proxy use, and they have a ton of IPs.

Scraping is risky no matter what, though. Even with a good proxy, if you're pulling too much data too fast, you're gonna get slapped.

Maybe start with their trial and see how it goes?
Thanks for all the suggestions, y’all!

I ended up trying Smartproxy based on one of the recs here, and it’s been working pretty well so far. No bans yet, but I’m keeping the scraping super light.

Quick question though—anyone know if Reddit’s API changes affect proxy scraping too? Or is that a separate issue?

Appreciate the help!
I’ve been down this rabbit hole before lol.

For reddit proxy, I’d recommend Storm Proxies. They’re affordable and work well if you’re not doing anything crazy.

But yeah, scraping is a gamble. Reddit’s been cracking down hard, so tread lightly.
If you're just trying to browse anonymously, any decent VPN + a residential proxy should work. But for scraping? That's where it gets tricky.

I’ve used Bright Data (formerly Luminati) for reddit proxy scraping, and it’s been okay—but you gotta be careful with the request rates.

Free proxies? Nah, they’re a waste of time.
Hey, I’ve had success with GeoSurf for reddit proxy stuff. It’s residential, so less likely to get flagged.

But like everyone else said, scraping is risky. Keep it slow, randomize your timings, and maybe use a headless browser to look more legit.

Free proxies are a no-go. They’re basically honeypots at this point.
For a reddit proxy, I’d say go with rotating residential proxies. Providers like IPRoyal or NetNut are solid.

But scraping? That’s playing with fire. Even the best proxies won’t save you if you’re hitting Reddit too hard.

Start small, test the waters, and don’t get greedy.
