So, I’ve been trying to scrape fb group data for a project, and man, it’s been a headache. Facebook’s got all these restrictions, and their API is basically useless unless you’re Zuckerberg himself.
I’ve tried a few tools like Octoparse and ParseHub, but they’re kinda hit or miss. Anyone got better recs? I’ve heard some folks use Python with BeautifulSoup or Selenium, but idk if I wanna dive into coding just to scrape fb group stuff.
Also, what’s the deal with proxies? Do I *really* need them, or can I just wing it?
Would love to hear what’s worked for y’all. Bonus points if it’s free or cheap lol.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! I think I’m gonna give Selenium with Python a shot since a few of you recommended it. I’ve been messing around with it today, and it’s not as scary as I thought.
Also, I grabbed a proxy package from Bright Data based on one of your recs. Fingers crossed it works out!
Quick question though—anyone know how often Facebook updates their anti-scraping measures? I’m worried I’ll get blocked even with proxies.
