Can someone explain the deadstock meaning? Is it just old inventory? or What exactly is the deadstock

Deadstock meaning: It’s like new, but from another era. Could be ‘90s tees or 2000s sneakers—just never worn.

Surplus is just extra stock, but deadstock has that "lost and found" appeal.

Popular ‘cause it’s sustainable *and* rare. Poshmark has deadstock gems if you dig around.
Deadstock is the OG unsold inventory—pristine, forgotten, and now hyped.

Not the same as surplus, which is just overproduction. Deadstock is usually older and has that "hidden treasure" vibe.

Why’s it big? Eco-consciousness + nostalgia. ThredUP sometimes has deadstock sections if you’re hunting.
