Hey guys,
so i’ve been messing around with cloudflare and insomnia what proxy setup lately, and honestly, i’m a bit stuck.

like, i wanna get the best performance for my API testing, but idk if i should stick with cloudflare’s proxy or switch to something else. anyone got tips?

also, does using insomnia with cloudflare slow things down? or am i just trippin’?

pls help a noob out lol.

cheers!
Hey! So, I’ve been using cloudflare and insomnia what proxy setup for a while now, and honestly, it’s pretty solid for API testing. If you’re worried about performance, try tweaking Cloudflare’s caching settings—it can make a huge difference.

Also, Insomnia itself doesn’t slow things down, but if you’re routing through Cloudflare’s proxy, it might add a tiny bit of latency. Not a dealbreaker though.

If you’re looking for alternatives, check out Postman with a direct connection—it’s super fast for testing. Hope that helps!
Yo, I feel you on the cloudflare and insomnia what proxy thing. I was in the same boat a few months ago. Honestly, Cloudflare’s proxy is great for security, but if speed is your main concern, maybe try bypassing it for testing?

Insomnia works fine either way, but if you’re testing locally, just go direct. No need for the extra hop.

Also, check out tools like Charles Proxy or Fiddler if you wanna dive deeper into debugging. They’re lifesavers for API testing.
Hey there! I’ve been using cloudflare and insomnia what proxy combo for a while, and it’s been smooth for the most part. If you’re noticing slowdowns, it might be Cloudflare’s DNS or caching settings. Try disabling caching temporarily to see if that helps.

Also, Insomnia is pretty lightweight, so it shouldn’t be the issue. If you’re still stuck, maybe give Postman a shot—it’s got some cool features for API testing.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
Honestly, I think you’re overthinking the cloudflare and insomnia what proxy setup. Cloudflare’s proxy is solid, but if you’re just testing APIs, you might not even need it.

Insomnia is super fast on its own, so unless you’re testing something super sensitive, I’d skip the proxy for now.

If you’re still curious, check out tools like Burp Suite or even just plain cURL for quick tests. They’re super handy for debugging.
Hey! I’ve been using cloudflare and insomnia what proxy setup for a while, and it’s been pretty reliable. If you’re worried about performance, try using Cloudflare’s Argo Smart Routing—it’s designed to optimize speed.

Insomnia itself is pretty lightweight, so I doubt it’s causing any slowdowns. If you’re still having issues, maybe check your network settings or try testing with a different tool like Postman.

Hope that helps, and good luck with your testing!
Thanks for all the tips, guys! I tried tweaking Cloudflare’s caching settings like some of you suggested, and it definitely helped with the latency. I also gave Postman a shot, and it’s been super smooth so far.

Still not sure if I’ll stick with cloudflare and insomnia what proxy setup long-term, but for now, it’s working okay.

Quick question though—anyone know if Cloudflare’s Argo Smart Routing is worth the extra cost for API testing? Or is it overkill? Cheers!
Yo, I feel you on the cloudflare and insomnia what proxy struggle. Honestly, Cloudflare’s proxy is great for security, but it can add a bit of latency. If speed is your main concern, maybe try testing without it for a bit.

Insomnia is super fast on its own, so I doubt it’s the issue. If you’re still stuck, check out tools like Hoppscotch—it’s a lightweight alternative for API testing.

Let us know how it goes!
