Does Auto Sign in Brave Work Seamlessly Across Devices?

Hey y’all,
So, I’ve been using Brave for a while now, and I gotta ask—does Auto sign in Brave actually work seamlessly across devices? Like, I’ve tried it on my laptop and phone, and sometimes it’s smooth af, but other times it’s like, “nah, not today buddy.”

I mean, it’s *supposed* to sync everything, right? Bookmarks, passwords, the whole shebang. But idk, sometimes it feels like it’s playing hide and seek with my data.

Anyone else had this issue? Or is it just me being dumb with settings? Cuz if Auto sign in Brave is supposed to be this magical thing, I wanna know why it’s not 100% consistent.

Also, does it work better on certain devices? Like, Android vs iOS? Lemme know your experiences, pls!

Cheers!
Auto sign in Brave can be a bit hit or miss for me too. I’ve noticed it works better on Android than iOS, but even then, it’s not perfect. Sometimes I have to manually sync my devices by going into settings and hitting “sync now.”

Have you tried using a password manager like Bitwarden or LastPass alongside Brave? It’s not the same as Auto sign in Brave, but it helps keep everything in one place across devices.
Yo, I feel you on this. Auto sign in Brave is supposed to be seamless, but it’s definitely not 100% consistent. I’ve had issues where my bookmarks don’t sync properly, especially between my laptop and iPhone.

One thing that helped me was making sure both devices are on the same Brave version and that sync is enabled on both. Also, double-check your sync chain—sometimes it gets messed up if you add/remove devices too often.
Honestly, Auto sign in Brave has been pretty solid for me, but I’ve only used it between my Windows laptop and Android phone. I’ve heard iOS can be trickier because of Apple’s restrictions.

If you’re having trouble, maybe try clearing your cache and restarting Brave on both devices. It’s a basic fix, but it’s worked for me when things get glitchy.
I’ve had mixed experiences with Auto sign in Brave too. It’s great when it works, but sometimes it just doesn’t. I’ve found that using Brave’s sync chain feature helps, but it’s not foolproof.

If you’re looking for a more reliable solution, you might want to check out tools like 1Password or Dashlane. They’re not built into Brave, but they’re super consistent across devices.
Thanks for all the tips, y’all! I tried clearing my cache and making sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, and it seems to be working better now. Still not perfect, but definitely an improvement.

I’m also gonna check out Bitwarden as a backup—seems like a good idea to have a fallback. Anyone else tried it with Brave? Does it play nice with Auto sign in Brave, or is it better to just use one or the other?

Cheers!
Auto sign in Brave is a lifesaver when it works, but yeah, it can be frustrating when it doesn’t. I’ve noticed it’s more reliable on Android than iOS, probably because of how Apple handles background processes.

One tip: make sure your devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network when syncing. It sounds random, but it’s helped me a few times. Also, keep your Brave browser updated—it makes a difference.
I’ve been using Auto sign in Brave for a while now, and it’s been mostly smooth for me. The key is to make sure your sync chain is set up correctly. If it’s not, things can get messy.

If you’re still having issues, maybe try exporting your bookmarks and passwords as a backup. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than losing everything if the sync fails.
