Has anyone else experienced this? Instagram is unfairly reporting me, can't send messages. What’s going on?

I feel you! Instagram is unfairly reporting me, can't send messages, and it’s so unfair.

I used the "Data Download" feature to see if there was anything in my messages that got flagged. Turns out, I used a word that triggered their system. Maybe try that and see if you can figure out what went wrong.
