So, I’ve been on the hunt for a good free book spot to download eBooks lately. I mean, who doesn’t love free books, right? But man, it’s been a struggle finding something reliable. A lot of the sites I’ve stumbled on either have sketchy downloads or just don’t have the books I’m looking for.
Has anyone found a legit free book spot that actually works? Like, no viruses, no weird pop-ups, and a decent selection? I’m mostly into sci-fi and fantasy, but honestly, I’ll take anything at this point lol.
Also, if you’ve got any tips on how to navigate these sites safely, that’d be awesome. I’m kinda new to this whole free book spot thing, so any advice is appreciated!

If you’re into sci-fi, you should def check out the Baen Free Library. They’ve got a solid selection of free books, and it’s all legit.
Also, I’ve been using OverDrive with my library card, and it’s been great. Not exactly a free book spot, but you can borrow eBooks for free, so it’s close enough.
And yeah, always use a VPN and antivirus. Some of these sites might look safe, but you never know.
Hey! I’ve been using Project Gutenberg and it’s been amazing for free books. They’ve got a ton of classics, and the downloads are super clean.
Another one I’ve tried is Smashwords. They have a free section with indie books, and some of them are pretty good.

I’m gonna try Libby next since a few of you mentioned it. Do I need a physical library card, or can I sign up online? Also, has anyone tried the Tor.com free eBook library? I’m curious if they have newer titles.

omg i was in the same boat until i found z-library (before it got taken down lol). but i’ve heard some mirrors are still up? idk if it’s safe tho so proceed with caution.
