"Has anyone found reliable powershell google docs cmdlets for automation?"

Hey folks!

I’ve been digging around for some decent powershell google docs cmdlets to automate a bunch of stuff—like pulling reports, updating sheets, etc.

Found a few scripts online, but they’re either outdated or just don’t work. Anyone got a solid solution?

Preferably something that doesn’t require a PhD in Google’s API docs lol.

Thanks in advance!

"What are the best powershell google docs cmdlets for managing files?"

Yo!

Tired of manually moving stuff in Google Drive and Docs. Heard powershell google docs cmdlets might help, but not sure where to start.

Any recommendations for cmdlets that actually work? Need to batch-rename, move, or even edit files.

Bonus points if it’s not a headache to set up.

Cheers!

"Are there any working powershell google docs cmdlets for bulk operations?"

Sup everyone?

Trying to automate some bulk edits in Google Docs—think hundreds of files.

Every "powershell google docs cmdlets" script I’ve tried either breaks or needs 50 dependencies.

Anyone got a working solution? Or am I stuck doing this manually forever?

Help a lazy admin out!

Hey peeps!

I’m drowning in Google Docs chaos and need to automate like… everything.

Heard powershell google docs cmdlets might save me, but no clue where to begin.

Any tips or scripts you’ve used to make life easier?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or what hasn’t).

Thx!

"Do powershell google docs cmdlets exist for API integration?"

Alright, real talk—

Is there such a thing as powershell google docs cmdlets that play nice with the API?

Need to pull data, update docs, maybe even some fancy automations.

Everything I find feels like a hacky workaround. Anyone cracked this yet?

Pls share the wisdom!
Hey! I've been down this rabbit hole before. The best option I've found for powershell google docs cmdlets is the Google Apps Script API paired with PS's `Invoke-RestMethod`.

It’s not a straight-up cmdlet, but you can wrap it in a function to make it reusable.

Check out this guide:

Not the simplest, but way more reliable than random scripts floating around.
lol i feel your pain. Most "powershell google docs cmdlets" out there are hot garbage.

I ended up using PSGSuite module. It’s not perfect but handles basic stuff like sheet updates and drive file ops.

Setup’s a bit annoying with OAuth, but once it’s running, it’s solid.

Man, I gave up on pre-made powershell google docs cmdlets and just wrote my own wrappers for the REST API.

Yeah, it’s more work upfront, but now I can do whatever I want without fighting broken dependencies.

Google’s API docs are a nightmare, but the PowerShell `Google.Apis` lib helps.
If you’re just doing bulk edits, maybe skip powershell google docs cmdlets entirely?

I switched to Python + gspread for this stuff. Way less headache.

But if you’re stuck with PS, try the Google Drive PS module. It’s janky but works for basic file moves.
OP here—thanks for all the suggestions!

Tried PSGSuite and it’s... kinda working? Ran into auth issues but got further than with other powershell google docs cmdlets.

Anyone got tips for handling OAuth errors? Keep getting "invalid grant" even with fresh tokens.

Might give the REST API wrapper idea a shot if this fails. Appreciate the help!
Honestly, most powershell google docs cmdlets are abandonware.

Your best bet is to use the official Google .NET libs and call them from PowerShell.

It’s not as clean as proper cmdlets, but at least it won’t break next week.
