Hey everyone,
So, I’ve been out of the loop for a while and was wondering if anyone’s tried downloadly recently? I used to rely on it for software downloads, but it’s been a few months since I last checked it out.
Is it still reliable? I’ve heard mixed things lately, and I don’t wanna end up with some sketchy files or broken links, ya know?
Also, are the download speeds still decent? I remember it being pretty quick, but idk if that’s changed.
Any recent experiences or alternatives you’d recommend? Thanks in advance!
(Also, sorry if this has been asked before—I did a quick search but couldn’t find much recent info.)
Cheers!
Hey! I used downloadly a couple of weeks ago, and it’s still pretty solid. The download speeds were decent, and I didn’t run into any sketchy files. That said, I always scan stuff with Malwarebytes just to be safe.
If you’re looking for alternatives, I’d recommend FileHippo or Softonic. Both are reliable and have a good selection of software.
downloadly is still my go-to for most things, but yeah, I’ve noticed some broken links here and there. Not a dealbreaker, but it’s worth double-checking before you click.
For faster speeds, I’d suggest using a download manager like JDownloader. It works great with downloadly and other sites.
Honestly, I stopped using downloadly a while back. The ads got super annoying, and I found better options like MajorGeeks. It’s cleaner and has fewer pop-ups.
If you’re sticking with downloadly, just make sure to use an ad blocker. It makes the experience way better.
I’ve been using downloadly for years, and it’s still reliable for me. The speeds are good, and I haven’t had any issues with malware.
That said, I’ve also started using Ninite for basic software installs. It’s super quick and doesn’t bundle any junk.
downloadly is hit or miss these days. Some files are fine, but others are outdated or have broken links.
If you’re looking for something more consistent, check out SourceForge. It’s been around forever and is pretty trustworthy.
I’ve had mixed experiences with downloadly recently. The speeds are still decent, but I’ve run into a few files that were flagged by my antivirus.
For alternatives, I’d recommend Softpedia. It’s been super reliable for me, and the download speeds are great.
downloadly is still okay, but it’s not as good as it used to be. The ads are a nightmare, and some of the links are dead.
If you’re looking for something better, try SnapFiles. It’s clean, fast, and doesn’t have any of the issues downloadly has.
I’ve been using downloadly for a while now, and it’s been pretty reliable for me. The speeds are still good, and I haven’t had any issues with malware.
That said, I’ve also started using PortableApps for portable software. It’s a great alternative if you’re looking for something lightweight.
Thanks for all the replies, everyone! I decided to give downloadly another shot, and it worked fine for the most part. The speeds were decent, but I did run into a couple of broken links, like some of you mentioned.
I also checked out FileHippo and Softonic based on your suggestions, and they seem pretty solid. I’ll probably switch between them depending on what I need.
One quick question though—has anyone tried using a VPN with downloadly? I’m wondering if it affects the download speeds at all.
Cheers again for all the help!
