Has anyone tried socksdroid recently? I’ve been hearing mixed things about it, and I’m curious if it’s still reliable for bypassing restrictions. I used it a while back, and it worked pretty well, but lately, I’ve seen some folks saying it’s hit or miss.
Is it still holding up, or are there better alternatives now? Also, does it still support multiple protocols, or has that changed?
Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve used it in the past month or so.

I tried socksdroid last week, and honestly, it’s been a bit inconsistent for me. Sometimes it works like a charm, but other times it just won’t connect. I’ve heard some people say it’s because of stricter firewalls now.
If you’re looking for alternatives, I’d suggest checking out Windscribe or ProtonVPN. Both have free tiers and are pretty reliable for bypassing restrictions.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I tried socksdroid again last night, and it worked okay, but it’s definitely slower than I remember. I think I’ll give ProtonVPN a shot since a few of you recommended it.
Also, does anyone know if socksdroid still supports SOCKS5? I couldn’t find any info on their site, and I’m curious if they’ve dropped it.
