"Has anyone tried zyte for web scraping? How does it compare to other tools?"
Hey folks!
So I’ve been dabbling with a few scraping tools lately, and zyte keeps popping up. Anyone here actually used it?
How’s it stack up against stuff like Scrapy or Bright Data?
I’m mostly curious about ease of use + pricing. Also, does it handle JS-heavy sites better than the others?
Kinda tired of getting blocked mid-scrape lol.
Thanks in advance! 🚀

Let me know if you'd like it tweaked!
I’ve used zyte for a few projects, and it’s pretty solid for JS-heavy sites. Compared to Scrapy, it’s way easier to set up since it handles proxies and CAPTCHAs automatically.
Pricing can get steep if you’re scraping at scale, though. Bright Data might be cheaper for large jobs, but zyte’s reliability is worth it if you’re tired of getting blocked.
For alternatives, check out Apify or ScrapingBee—they’re also good for dynamic content.
zyte is my go-to for scraping nowadays. It’s like Scrapy but with less headache. The built-in anti-blocking features are a lifesaver, especially for sites like Shopify or LinkedIn.
Downside? It’s not the cheapest. If you’re on a budget, maybe try Octoparse first. But if you need reliability, zyte wins.
Also, their docs are super clear, which is rare for scraping tools lol.
Honestly, zyte is overkill for small projects. I switched to Simple Scraper for basic stuff, but if you’re dealing with heavy JS or anti-bot systems, zyte is unbeatable.
Bright Data is more flexible pricing-wise, but zyte’s automation is next level.
Pro tip: Combine zyte with a rotating proxy service if you’re scraping aggressively.
zyte’s great, but it depends on your needs. If you’re just scraping static pages, Scrapy + a proxy list might save you cash.
But for dynamic sites? zyte’s headless browser support is clutch.
Pricing’s transparent, but it adds up fast. Try their free tier first to see if it fits your workflow.
Thanks for all the insights, everyone! Definitely gonna test zyte’s free tier first based on your feedback.
Quick follow-up: Anyone here paired zyte with a specific proxy service for extra stealth? Or is their built-in system enough for most cases?
Also, shoutout to the person who mentioned Apify—gonna check that out too. Appreciate the help! 🚀
Used zyte for a client project last month. It’s slick, but the learning curve is steeper than something like ParseHub.
Once you get the hang of it, though, it’s a beast. Handles JS rendering way better than most tools I’ve tried.
If you’re getting blocked a lot, zyte’s smart proxies are worth the $$$.
zyte vs. Bright Data? Depends on your budget. zyte’s API is smoother, but Bright Data has more proxy options.
For JS-heavy sites, zyte wins hands down. Their auto-retry feature saves so much time.
If you’re just starting, maybe play with Puppeteer first. But for pro work, zyte’s the move.
zyte’s pricing scared me at first, but it’s worth it if you’re scraping at scale. Their support is top-notch too—unlike some other tools I won’t name lol.
For alternatives, check out Diffbot or ScraperAPI. But zyte’s still my #1 for reliability.
Just watch your usage—it’s easy to blow through credits if you’re not careful.
