Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy.

Under "Manual proxy setup," toggle off "Use a proxy server."

Chrome and Edge both use system settings, so this should work for both. If it’s still weird, try resetting your browser settings too.

Ugh, proxies are the worst. For Windows 11, it’s pretty similar:

Settings > Network & internet > Proxy

Turn off anything under "Manual proxy setup."

Also, check if some sketchy app messed with your settings. Malwarebytes can scan for that kinda stuff.

Mac user here! To turn off proxy settings, go to:

System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies

Uncheck ALL the proxy boxes.

Sometimes VPNs or school/work networks force proxies, so double-check if you’re on one.

Bro, if Chrome’s giving you proxy errors, try this:

Under "Open proxy settings," it’ll take you to the system menu. Turn it off there.

Weirdly, my antivirus had a "secure browsing" thing that was forcing a proxy. Turned that off too.

If that doesn’t help, your antivirus might be interfering. Norton and McAfee love messing with proxies for some reason.

For Chrome’s "proxy server isn’t responding" error, try this:

1. Open Chrome flags (chrome://flags)
2. Search "proxy"
3. Disable any experimental proxy stuff.

Might not be the fix, but worth a shot!
