"What's the best way to check proxy status for anonymity and speed?"
Hey guys, just set up a new proxy but wanna make sure it’s actually working lol. How do you *check proxy* settings to see if it’s secure and fast?
I’ve used a couple sites like whatismyipaddress.com, but idk if that’s enough.
Any tools or tricks y’all recommend? Also, how often should I *check proxy* stuff? Monthly? Or only when things feel slow/sketchy?
Thanks in advance!
(ps. if u know a good free tool, pls share. my budget’s tight rn 😅)
Yo, if you wanna check proxy status properly, try IPLeak.net – it shows DNS leaks too, which most basic sites miss.
For speed, just run a quick test on speedtest.net while connected to your proxy. If it’s crawling, time to switch.
I’d say check proxy settings every few weeks, or whenever you notice lag. Free tools like ProxyCheck.io are solid for anonymity checks.
Budget-friendly and gets the job done!
Honestly, whatismyipaddress.com is decent but not enough. You need something like Whoer.net—it gives a full anonymity score, including WebRTC leaks.
For speed, just ping your proxy server (cmd: `ping yourproxyip`). High latency? Bad news.
Check proxy health monthly, or if your browsing feels off. Free tools exist, but paid ones like Luminati (if you ever upgrade) are next-level.
Quick tip: BrowserLeaks.com is my go-to to check proxy leaks. Covers everything—IP, DNS, even fingerprinting.
Speed-wise, just download a small file and time it. If it takes forever, your proxy’s trash lol.
I check proxy stuff weekly ‘cause I’m paranoid, but monthly’s probably fine.
PS: HideMy.name has a free proxy tester if you’re broke like me 😂
If you’re serious about anonymity, don’t just check proxy IP—test for WebRTC and DNS leaks. IPX.ac is underrated for this.
Speed? Use ping.pe to test latency globally. Free and no install needed.
I’d say check proxy settings every 2-3 weeks. Proxies can die randomly, so stay vigilant.
Bro, skip the basic sites. Use DNSLeakTest.com to check proxy leaks properly. Anonymity isn’t just about hiding your IP.
For speed, open Task Manager (if on Windows) and watch network usage. Spikes = bad proxy.
Check proxy health whenever you switch servers. Free tools work, but don’t expect miracles.
For a deep dive, try PrivacyTools.io’s proxy checker. It’s thorough and free.
Speed tests? Just stream a YT video in 4K. If it buffers, your proxy’s a turtle.
I check proxy stuff bi-weekly. Overkill? Maybe. But better safe than doxxed.
Lol, I feel you on the budget. ProxyScrape has a free tester that’s decent.
To check proxy speed, just compare load times with/without it. Simple but effective.
Monthly checks are fine unless you’re doing sketchy stuff (no judgment).

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t realize there were so many ways to check proxy leaks. Tried Whoer.net and BrowserLeaks—super helpful.
My proxy’s kinda slow though, so I’ll test with ping.pe later.
Quick Q: Anyone know if VPNs mess with these tests? Or should I turn it off to check proxy properly?
Appreciate y’all! 🙌
