"What’s the safest way to get random IP address for testing?"

Hey guys, need some advice. I’m working on a project where I need to get random IP address for testing, but I don’t wanna risk getting banned or messing anything up.

Any legit tools or methods out there? Free is cool, but I’m open to paid if it’s reliable.

Also, is there a way to get random IP address without it looking sketchy? Don’t wanna trigger any alarms lol.

Thanks in advance!

"Best tool to get random IP address without risks?"

Yo, anyone know a solid tool to get random IP address safely? Need it for some dev testing, but all the stuff I’ve found seems shady af.

VPNs work, but I need *random* ones, not just location swaps. Any ideas?

Preferably free/low-cost, but hit me with whatever’s reliable. Cheers!
If you're looking to get random ip address for testing, check out IPinfo's API. It's legit and used by devs for testing.

You can also try Faker.js if you're coding—it generates fake but realistic IPs. No risk of bans since they're not real.

Just avoid public proxies, those are sketchy af.
Yo, VPNs won't cut it if you need *true* randomness. Try Tor—it cycles IPs, but it's slow.

For a quicker fix, httpbin.org/ip gives you your current IP, but if you need bulk, maybe script it with Python + requests.

Just don't spam or you'll get blocked lol.
Honestly, the safest way to get random ip address is using cloud instances.

AWS/GCP give you fresh IPs when you spin up VMs. Free tier might cover it if you're careful.

Otherwise, Luminati (now Bright Data) is paid but solid for rotating proxies.
Why not just use mock IPs in your code? Like, 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x ranges.

If you need *real* external IPs, scraping free proxy lists is risky—most are dead or malicious.

Maybe try Storm Proxies? Cheap and rotates IPs automatically.
Dude, just use Postman + mock servers. You can simulate random IPs without touching real ones.

If you *must* get random ip address, hide.me VPN has a randomize option, but it's not perfect.

Avoid anything "free proxy"—99% scams.
For dev testing, Docker containers with randomized networking can fake IPs safely.

Or if you're lazy, IP2Proxy has a free tier for testing geolocation stuff.

Just don't use this for anything shady, obv.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Ended up trying Faker.js for mock IPs and it works perfectly for my needs.

Didn’t realize cloud instances could get random ip address too—might test AWS later.

Appreciate the warnings about free proxies, almost went down that rabbit hole lol. Cheers!
Check out Proxies API—it’s a paid service but handles rotation for you.

If free’s your thing, github has scripts to generate fake IPs locally. No bans since they’re not real.

But yeah, avoid public proxies like the plague.
You could try NordVPN’s dedicated IP feature—not fully random, but safer than sketchy free tools.

Or, if it’s just for testing, modify your hosts file to spoof IPs locally.

Real talk though, most "free random IP" services are traps.
