How Can I Have Another Email Address Using One Gmail?

I’m trying to figure out how to have another email address using one gmail, and I'm a bit stuck. 😅

I’ve heard about the whole “+” trick, like adding something after your username (e.g., yourname+work@gmail.com), but is that the only way?

And what about aliases? Can I create those without making a new account?
