For JSON, headers are non-negotiable. Missing `-H "Content-Type: application/json"` is usually why it fails.

Form data is more forgiving, but if you’re sending files, `-F` is your friend.

Also, `curl -v` will show you the raw request—super helpful for spotting issues.
