How to Get on NA Server in Elsword: Any Tips or Steps to Follow?

14 Replies, 1962 Views

Hey guys, so I’ve been trying to figure out how to get on NA server in Elsword for a while now, and I’m kinda stuck. I’ve seen some ppl say you need a VPN, but idk if that’s still the case or if there’s an easier way.

Does anyone have any tips or steps to follow? Like, do I need to download a specific client or change some settings? I’m not super tech-savvy, so pls keep it simple lol.

Also, is the ping decent if you’re not from NA? I don’t wanna lag like crazy while playing. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

P.S. If there’s a guide or something, feel free to drop a link. I’m tired of googling “how to get on NA server in Elsword” and getting mixed answers. 😅
Hey! So, I had the same issue a while back trying to figure out how to get on NA server in Elsword. From what I know, you *do* need a VPN if you're outside NA. I used NordVPN, and it worked fine for me. Just connect to a US server, and you should be good to go.

As for the client, you’ll need to download the NA version from the official Elsword website. Don’t use the global or EU one.

Ping-wise, it depends on your location. I’m from Europe, and my ping is around 120-150ms, which is playable but not perfect. If you’re further away, it might be worse.

Hope this helps!
Yo, I feel you on the struggle of figuring out how to get on NA server in Elsword. Honestly, it’s a bit of a hassle, but here’s what worked for me:

1. Get a VPN (I use ExpressVPN).
2. Download the NA client from the official site.
3. Make sure your VPN is connected to a US server before launching the game.

Ping can be hit or miss depending on where you are. I’m in Asia, and my ping is around 200ms, which is kinda rough for PvP but doable for PvE.

If you’re not tech-savvy, just follow a guide on YouTube. There are a few good ones that walk you through the whole process step by step.
Hey! I’ve been playing on the NA server for a while now, and yeah, you’ll need a VPN if you’re not in North America. I use Surfshark, and it’s been pretty reliable.

For the client, make sure you download the NA version from the official Elsword site. Don’t mix it up with the other regions.

About the ping, it’s not amazing if you’re far from NA, but it’s manageable. I’m in Australia, and my ping is around 180ms. It’s not ideal, but it’s playable for most content.

If you’re still confused, there’s a guide on the Elsword subreddit that explains how to get on NA server in Elsword in detail. Check it out!

You’ll definitely need a VPN. I use CyberGhost, and it works fine. Just connect to a US server, and you’re good to go.

For the client, download the NA version from the official site. Don’t bother with the others unless you want to play on those servers.

Ping-wise, it’s not the best if you’re far from NA, but it’s not unplayable. I’m in South America, and my ping is around 150ms.

Good luck!
Hey, I was in the same boat trying to figure out how to get on NA server in Elsword. Here’s what I did:

- Got a VPN (I use Private Internet Access).
- Downloaded the NA client from the official site.
- Made sure my VPN was connected to a US server before launching the game.

Ping is okay if you’re not too far from NA. I’m in Europe, and my ping is around 130ms. It’s not perfect, but it’s playable.

Thanks so much for all the replies, guys! I finally got it working with NordVPN and downloaded the NA client. My ping is around 140ms, which isn’t too bad for PvE.

Quick question though—do you guys know if there’s a way to reduce the ping further? Or is that just how it is when playing from outside NA? Also, does anyone know if using a VPN affects the game’s performance in any way?

Thanks again for all the help! You guys are lifesavers. 😊
