"Best method to get price of stock on a certain date google finance?"
Hey guys, trying to pull historical stock prices for a project.
Is there still a way to get price of stock on a certain date google finance? Heard they changed some stuff and the old methods don’t work anymore.
I’ve tried =GOOGLEFINANCE() in Sheets but it’s hit or miss. Any workarounds? Or better sites/tools?

Yeah, Google Finance can be a pain now. The =GOOGLEFINANCE() function still works but is super unreliable for historical data.

Google Finance is basically useless for historical data now.
Try Macrotrends—they have free historical prices for most stocks. Just search and scroll down to the table.
Or, if you’re lazy like me, just ask ChatGPT to pull the data. It’s scarily accurate sometimes.
