How to Set Up a Proxy Server in Chrome – Step-by-Step Guide? or Why Isn’t My Proxy Server in Chrome W

Had this exact problem yesterday!

Turns out my proxy server in Chrome was set to "auto-detect," which was picking up some random corporate config.

Manually setting it to "use fixed proxy" fixed it. Also, restart your router. Sounds dumb, but it works.

Thanks for all the tips, guys! Tried flushing DNS and disabling my VPN, and it’s *sorta* working now.

But now Chrome’s super slow with the proxy server. Anyone else get that? Is it just a bad proxy, or is there a way to speed it up?

Also, FoxyProxy looks awesome—gonna try that next. Y’all are lifesavers!
