In 2026, is caption length the factor that impacts reach on instagram posts?

So seriously asking, I see big accounts writing 3-line captions, and little accounts writing essays. I tried boostbysocial last three months & they told me, hook in line 1 is everything. But I want more opinions, though. Are short captions for instagram posts more effective than long captions on Reels vs carousels? Anyone tested this?
