hey guys, so spotify just won’t connect for me rn. keeps saying "offline mode" or just straight up failing to load. i’ve tried restarting, reinstalling, all that jazz.
then it hit me—*a firewall may be blocking spotify*. how do i even check that? i’m on windows btw.
also, if it *is* the firewall, how do i fix it without totally nuking my security? kinda paranoid about leaving holes open lol.
anyone else run into this? pls help a music-less soul out 😭

on windows, go to Control Panel > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app through firewall.
look for spotify in the list and make sure both private & public boxes are checked. if it’s not there, hit "allow another app" and add spotify.exe manually.

omg tysm everyone!! i checked the firewall like y’all said and spotify was totally blocked. fixed it by adding it to the allowed apps list.
