"Is FoxyProxy for Firefox Still the Best Proxy Management Tool?"
Hey folks! Been using foxyproxy firefox for years, but lately I’m wondering if it’s still the go-to for proxy management.
The latest Firefox updates seem to play nice with it, but I’ve heard mixed things. Some say it’s glitchy now, others swear by it.
Anyone else noticing slowdowns or weird bugs? Or is it just me?
Also, are there better alternatives these days, or is foxyproxy firefox still king? Would love to hear your experiences!

*PS: If you’ve got any tips to make it run smoother, drop ‘em below. Cheers!*
FoxyProxy Firefox has been my go-to for ages, but yeah, it’s been acting up lately. Not sure if it’s the Firefox updates or what, but I’ve noticed some lag when switching proxies.
Tried switching to Proxy SwitchyOmega, and it’s been smoother for me. Less clutter too. Might be worth checking out if foxyproxy firefox is giving you headaches.
Still using foxyproxy firefox here, and it’s working fine for me. No major bugs or slowdowns, but I’m on an older Firefox version (115 ESR). Maybe the issues are with newer builds?
If you’re sticking with it, try clearing your cache or reinstalling. Sometimes that fixes the weird glitches.
Honestly, foxyproxy firefox feels outdated now. Switched to SmartProxy a while back, and it’s way more intuitive.
FoxyProxy was great in its prime, but there are better options these days. SmartProxy lets you automate proxy switching based on URLs, which is a game-changer.
I’ve been having the same issues with foxyproxy firefox! Random disconnects and slow loading times.
Someone recommended me to try Proxy Helper, and it’s been solid so far. Less features than foxyproxy, but way more stable.
FoxyProxy Firefox is still king for me. The advanced rules and patterns are unmatched.
Yeah, it’s got some quirks, but nothing a quick restart won’t fix. If you need granular control, I don’t think there’s a better alternative.
If you’re looking for something lighter, check out ProxyTool. It’s not as feature-rich as foxyproxy firefox, but it’s snappy and does the job.
Sometimes less is more, especially if you’re just switching between a few proxies.
FoxyProxy Firefox has been glitchy for me too, especially after the last Firefox update.
Switched to TunnelBear’s browser extension for simpler proxy needs, and it’s been flawless. Not as customizable, but super easy to use.
Thanks for all the suggestions, folks! Gonna give Proxy SwitchyOmega a try since a few of you recommended it.
Still love foxyproxy firefox, but the lag is driving me nuts. If the switch works out, I’ll report back.
Appreciate the tips on clearing cache too—didn’t think of that!
Still on foxyproxy firefox here, but I’ve had to tweak the settings a lot to keep it running smoothly.
One tip: disable auto-update for the add-on. The newer versions seem buggier than the older ones.
