"Shadowrocket vs. Other VPN Apps – Which One Do You Prefer?"

hey guys, been using shadowrocket for ages but lately been seeing a ton of other vpn apps pop up.

some claim better speeds, others say they’re more user-friendly.

but tbh, shadowrocket’s flexibility with proxies and configs is hard to beat.

what’s your go-to? still sticking with shadowrocket or switched to something else?

also, any apps u think actually outperform it?

(ps: tried a few but keep coming back lol)

"How to Optimize Shadowrocket for Faster Speeds? Any Tips?"

yo, shadowrocket’s been solid for me but lately speeds feel a bit meh.

anyone got tricks to squeeze more speed out of it?

like, specific server settings, dns tweaks, or configs that work best?

or is it just my connection being trash?

drop your tips pls!

"Does Shadowrocket Work Reliably with All Proxy Configs?"

heard mixed things about shadowrocket handling different proxy setups.

some say it’s flawless, others run into weird drops or slow speeds.

what’s your experience? any configs it struggles with?

or is it just a matter of tweaking settings right?

lmk!

or maybe it’s just running smooth for u?

also, any features u wish they’d add?

"Is Shadowrocket Still the Best VPN App for iOS?"

debating if shadowrocket’s still king for ios vpn or if newer apps have caught up.

it’s got the features, but some say the ui feels dated.

what’s ur take? still the best or nah?

(and yes, i’m biased lol)
Shadowrocket is still my top pick for iOS, hands down. Tried a bunch like Surfshark and NordVPN, but none give the same level of control over proxies and configs.

That said, if you're after raw speed, WireGuard-based apps like Mullvad can be faster. But for tweaking and flexibility? Shadowrocket wins.

Anyone else feel like the UI could use a refresh tho?
Yo, for optimizing shadowrocket speeds, try switching to a different DNS like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google DNS.

Also, disable "Reconnect" in settings if you're on a stable connection—it eats up bandwidth.

If speeds still suck, maybe your proxy provider is the issue. Test with a few servers to compare.
Shadowrocket works fine with most proxy configs, but I’ve had hiccups with SOCKS5.

If you’re getting drops, check your rule list and make sure "Final" is set to DIRECT or your fallback proxy.

Some configs just need manual tweaking—don’t blame the app right away lol.
Latest shadowrocket update has been solid for me, no major bugs.

But yeah, wish they’d add split tunneling for iOS. Android VPNs have it, so why not us?

Also, more frequent updates would be nice. Feels like they’ve gone quiet.
Tbh, shadowrocket’s still the best for power users. Newer apps like ProtonVPN are simpler but lack advanced features.

If you just want a set-and-forget VPN, maybe look elsewhere. But for configs and rules? Nothing beats shadowrocket.
For real, shadowrocket’s reliability depends on your proxy setup. I’ve had zero issues with VMess + TLS, but Shadowsocks can be hit or miss.

Try importing configs from trusted sources—some free ones are just trash.

Also, enable "Load Balance" if your provider supports it. Helps with stability.
Thanks for the tips, especially the DNS trick—speed’s way better now!

Still think shadowrocket’s UI could use work, but I’m sticking with it for the features.

Anyone know if they’re planning a big update soon? Feels overdue.
