"Any Tips for Troubleshooting SwitchyOmega Connection Issues?"
Hey folks!
Been using switchyomega for ages, but lately it’s been acting up—random disconnects, profiles not loading, or just straight-up ignoring my rules. 😤
Anyone else facing this? I’ve tried clearing cache, reinstalling, even switching to the beta channel, but no luck.
Maybe it’s a Chrome update thing? Or am I missing some hidden setting?
Also, if you’ve got any weird fixes (like that one time toggling "quick switch" magically worked), drop ‘em here!
Thanks in advance—y’all are lifesavers. 🙏

*PS: Still love switchyomega tho, despite the headaches. Nothing else comes close!*
Hey! Had the same issue last week. Turns out Chrome's "Use secure DNS" setting was messing with switchyomega.
Go to Chrome settings > Privacy and Security > Security > toggle off "Use secure DNS".
Weird fix, but it worked for me. Also, try disabling other extensions temporarily—sometimes they clash.
Let me know if it helps!
Ugh, switchyomega can be so finicky sometimes. One thing that helped me was resetting the proxy settings manually.
Go to chrome://net-internals/#proxy and hit "Re-apply settings".
Also, check if your PAC script is loading correctly. Sometimes a corrupted PAC file causes all the chaos.
If you're using multiple profiles, try exporting them, then wiping switchyomega clean (uninstall + delete leftover files). Reinstall and import profiles back.
Had a similar issue where rules just... stopped working. This nuclear option fixed it.
Btw, Proxy SwitchySharp is a decent fallback if you need a quick alternative.
Random disconnects? Could be a DNS leak. Try forcing switchyomega to use your system's DNS instead of Chrome's.
Also, check out "FoxyProxy" as a backup—it’s not as powerful but way more stable lately.
If you’re on Windows, try running Chrome as admin. Sounds dumb, but switchyomega sometimes needs extra permissions to apply proxy rules properly.
Also, scan for malware—some adware messes with proxy settings silently.

Whoa, didn’t expect so many fixes! Tried the DNS toggle and QUIC disable—already seeing fewer drops.
Gonna test the net-internals trick next.
Anyone know if switchyomega works better on Firefox? Considering a switch if Chrome keeps being a pain.
Thanks y’all! 🙌
Yo! Had this exact problem. The culprit? A sneaky Chrome flag.
Type chrome://flags in your browser, search for "QUIC" and disable it.
For some reason, QUIC and switchyomega don’t play nice together. Saved me hours of headache.
Switchyomega acting up after a Chrome update? Classic.
Try rolling back Chrome to a previous version (just for testing). If it works, blame Google.
Also, double-check your proxy ports—sometimes they get reset to defaults.
Weird tip but... restart your router. Seriously.
Had a case where my ISP was messing with proxy traffic, and a simple router reboot fixed switchyomega’s random drops.
Also, check if your ISP blocks certain ports.
