"Has Anyone Else Had Issues with the No Go Guardian?"

Hey everyone,

So I recently got the no go guardian after hearing all the hype, but tbh, I’m not totally convinced? Like, it works *sometimes*, but other times it feels like it’s just... there.

Anyone else run into this? Mine kinda glitches out in busy areas, and I’ve had a few close calls where it didn’t alert me at all.

Maybe I’m using it wrong? Or is it just not as reliable as the ads make it seem?

Would love to hear your experiences—good or bad!

(Also, sorry for any typos, typing this on my phone lol)
Yeah, I had the same issue with my no go guardian! It’s super inconsistent—works great in quiet spots but totally flakes in crowded places.

I found that resetting the device and updating the firmware helped a bit. Also, try adjusting the sensitivity settings in the app.

If you’re still having trouble, maybe check out the no go guardian support forum. They’ve got some troubleshooting threads that might help.
Honestly, the no go guardian is overhyped. Mine barely alerts me unless I’m like RIGHT next to something.

I switched to a different collision avoidance device (won’t name names here) and it’s way more reliable. Maybe look into alternatives if you’re not married to the no go guardian brand.
Mine works pretty well, but yeah, it’s not perfect. The no go guardian definitely struggles in super busy areas—like downtown or crowded sidewalks.

Pro tip: pair it with a good navigation app like BlindSquare. The combo helps fill in the gaps where the no go guardian misses stuff.
Ugh, same! My no go guardian is either hyper-sensitive or completely dead. No in-between.

I reached out to their customer service, and they said it might be interference from other devices. Try turning off Bluetooth on nearby gadgets and see if that helps?
Thanks for all the tips, guys! I tried resetting my no go guardian and tweaking the sensitivity, and it’s already way better.

Still not perfect in crowded spots, but pairing it with BlindSquare like someone suggested is a game-changer. Appreciate the help!

Also, gonna check out that YouTube tutorial for recalibrating—mine’s still a bit off.
I’ve had my no go guardian for a few months now, and it’s been hit or miss. Sometimes it’s a lifesaver, other times it’s just... there.

One thing that helped me was recalibrating it regularly. The instructions aren’t super clear, but there’s a YouTube tutorial that walks you through it.
The no go guardian is decent, but it’s not a standalone solution. I use it alongside my cane, and that combo works way better.

If you’re relying on it alone, you might wanna reconsider. It’s more of a backup than a primary tool, imo.
Mine was glitchy too until I realized the battery was kinda weak. Swapped it out for a fresh one, and it’s been way more consistent.

Also, make sure you’re wearing it at the right angle—the manual says chest height works best.
