"Looking for a faster select and copy extension—any recommendations?"

Hey y’all,

I’m *so* tired of how slow default copy/paste is sometimes. 😩 Anyone got a solid faster select and copy extension they swear by?

Tried a couple but they either glitch out or don’t actually save time. Need something that’s quick *and* reliable.

Bonus if it works across browsers!

Thanks in advance!

Or if you prefer the second option:

"Does a faster select and copy extension actually save time?"

Honest question—do these faster select and copy extensions *really* make a difference?

I feel like half of ‘em just add extra steps. But maybe I’m using the wrong ones?

If you’ve found one that’s *actually* faster, drop the name pls. 🙏

Let me know if you want it tweaked!
I've been using Clipboard Manager Pro for a while now, and it’s a game-changer for faster select and copy extension needs.

It saves multiple clips, lets you search them, and works across Chrome and Firefox.

Only downside? It’s not free, but worth the $5 if you copy/paste a lot.
Try QuickCopy! Super lightweight and *actually* faster than default.

No glitches, no bloat—just highlight text and it’s in your clipboard instantly.

Works on Edge too, which is a plus.
Honestly, most of these extensions are hit or miss.

But CopyQ is legit. Open-source, customizable, and *way* faster than default.

You can even assign hotkeys for pasting specific clips.
If you’re on Firefox, MultiCopy is solid.

It lets you copy multiple things at once and paste them in order.

Not sure about other browsers tho.
Pro tip: Check if your OS has built-in clipboard history.

Windows (Win + V) and Mac (Clipboard apps) already do this *without* needing a faster select and copy extension.

Might save you the hassle!
Thanks for all the recs!

Gonna test CopyQ and Magic Copy first—seem like the best balance of speed and reliability.

If anyone’s used both, which one feels snappier?

Also, does CopyQ work on Safari or just Chrome/Firefox?
PureText is a lifesaver if you hate formatting mess.

It strips all formatting when you copy, so pasting is clean *and* fast.

Not exactly a browser extension, but it’s lightweight and free.
I’ve tried like 10 of these, and Magic Copy is the only one that didn’t slow my browser down.

It’s got a one-click copy button that pops up when you select text.

Works on Chrome and Brave.
Anyone else feel like these extensions are overhyped?

I just use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V like a caveman lol.

But if you *must* have one, FastCopy is decent.
