"What’s the best American proxy server for streaming and privacy?"

Hey guys, I’ve been hunting for a solid american proxy server that doesn’t throttle speeds when I’m streaming. Also, privacy is kinda big for me—don’t wanna deal with logs or sketchy data collection.

Any recs? I’ve tried a couple, but some are *so slow* or just stop working mid-show. Super annoying.

Bonus points if it’s easy to set up—I’m not super techy lol.

Also, anyone using an american proxy server for Netflix or Hulu? Does it actually work or just get blocked right away?

Thanks in advance! 🙌
I’ve been using Private Internet Access (PIA) as my american proxy server for a while now, and it’s been solid for streaming. Speeds are decent, and they claim a no-logs policy, which is great for privacy.

Setup was pretty easy—just download the app, pick a US server, and you’re good to go.

For Netflix, it works *most* of the time, but sometimes you gotta switch servers if one gets blocked. Hulu’s been more consistent though.

Def worth a try if you’re looking for something reliable.
Yo, if you’re not super techy, try NordVPN. It’s not *technically* a proxy, but it does the same job and way better imo.

Their american proxy servers (well, VPN servers) are fast af for streaming, and they’re always adding new ones to avoid blocks.

Plus, they’ve got a kill switch and no-logs, so privacy’s covered.

Only downside? Slightly pricier than some others, but you get what you pay for.
Honestly, most free american proxy servers are trash for streaming—slow and sketchy with logs.

I’d recommend ProtonVPN’s US servers. They’re privacy-focused (based in Switzerland, so good laws), and their paid plans have solid speeds for Netflix/Hulu.

Free version’s okay but limited. If you’re serious about streaming, go paid.

Setup’s easy too—just avoid the freebies unless you wanna buffer forever lol.
Have you looked into SmartDNS proxies? They’re different from VPNs but work better for streaming since they don’t slow your connection as much.

Unlocator’s a good one—lets you access US Netflix, Hulu, etc., without the speed hit.

Privacy-wise, it’s not as strong as a VPN, but if streaming’s your main goal, it’s a solid pick.
Lmao I feel your pain. Tried so many american proxy servers that just die mid-stream.

Surfshark’s been my go-to lately. Cheap, unlimited devices, and their US servers haven’t failed me yet.

Netflix works fine, but like others said, sometimes you gotta hop servers.

Plus, their “CleanWeb” thing blocks ads/malware, which is a nice bonus.
Wow, thanks for all the recs! Didn’t expect so many options.

I’m leaning toward ExpressVPN or Nord after reading these—seem like the best mix of speed and privacy.

Quick Q tho: anyone tried using these with Disney+? Heard it’s super aggressive with blocking.

Also, shoutout to the SmartDNS tip—didn’t even know that was a thing. Gonna research that too.

Appreciate the help! 🙏
For a balance of speed and privacy, check out ExpressVPN.

Their american proxy servers are optimized for streaming, and they’re *really* good at avoiding blocks. I’ve had zero issues with Hulu.

Yeah, it’s not the cheapest, but their 24/7 support is clutch if you’re not tech-savvy.

Also, no logs, which is huge for privacy.
