Subject: Looking for a reliable us http proxy – any recommendations?
Hey folks,
I’ve been hunting for a solid us http proxy that actually works without crapping out after a day or two. So many options out there, but half of them are either slow as molasses or just straight-up don’t work.
Anyone got a go-to service they trust? Need it for some light browsing and maybe a bit of geo-unblocking. Free is cool, but I’m down to pay if it’s worth it.
Bonus points if it’s easy to set up—I’m not trying to mess with complicated configs all day.

I've been using Luminati for a while now, and it’s been pretty solid for a us http proxy. Not free, but their speeds are consistent, and they’ve got a ton of US IPs. Setup was easy—just plug in the credentials and go.
Avoid Hola VPN though, if you see it recommended. Used it once, and it was a nightmare with leaks and slowdowns.
If you’re okay with paid, give Luminati a shot.
Yo, try Proxyrack! They’ve got a free tier, but the paid one is way better for us http proxy needs. Used it for geo-unblocking Netflix, and it worked like a charm.
Only downside is their support can be slow, but the proxies themselves rarely drop.
Honestly, free us http proxies are a gamble. I’ve had luck with HideMyAss (HMA) for light browsing. Their free version is limited, but the paid one is reliable.
If you’re tech-savvy, you could spin up your own proxy on AWS or DigitalOcean. More work, but way more control.
Stay away from KProxy. Tried it last month, and it was *painfully* slow. Like, dial-up slow.
For paid, I’d recommend Smartproxy. Their US proxies are fast, and they’ve got a simple setup. Used it for scraping, and it didn’t fail me.
Have you checked out Storm Proxies? They specialize in us http proxy servers, and their rotation is top-notch. Not free, but worth it if you need reliability.

Free proxies are hit or miss, but ProxyNova has a decent list of us http proxy servers that update regularly. Just be ready to switch if one dies.
For paid, NordVPN’s proxy feature works well too, though it’s more of a VPN hybrid.
