Honestly, I’ve given up on searx tor .onion networks for now. They’re just too unreliable. Instead, I’ve been using Ahmia.fi to search the Tor network. It’s not searx, but it’s fast and gets the job done.
If you’re dead set on searx, though, I’d recommend checking out the SearxNG fork. It’s a newer version of searx, and some of its .onion instances seem to work better.
