Yo, I had the same issue with my ps4 base host setup. What worked for me was switching to a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.
I know it’s not always possible, but if you can run an Ethernet cable, it makes a HUGE difference. Also, check out port forwarding guides for your router—tons of tutorials online.
For gear, I’d recommend the ASUS RT-AC68U. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the performance.
