"Does anyone recommend a reliable proxy chrome extension?"
Hey guys! I’ve been trying to find a good proxy chrome extension that doesn’t slow my browsing to a crawl. So many options out there, but half of them either don’t work or feel sketchy af.
Anyone got a solid rec? Preferably something free (or at least has a decent free tier) and doesn’t leak my IP like a sieve lol.
Also, if it’s fast, that’s a huge plus. Tried a couple already, and the lag was unreal.
Thanks in advance! 🙏
(PS: If it’s got a simple UI, even better. I’m not tryna solve a puzzle just to turn it on.)
I've been using Hola VPN as my proxy chrome extension for a while now, and it’s pretty solid. The free version works well for basic browsing, and it’s super easy to turn on/off.
Only downside is the speed can dip sometimes, but it’s way better than most sketchy ones out there. Plus, no IP leaks so far!
If you’re just looking for something simple, give it a shot.
Yo, avoid those random proxy chrome extensions—most are trash. I switched to Windscribe (free tier gives 10GB/month) and it’s been a game-changer.
Fast, no leaks, and the UI is stupid simple. Just click and go.
Only thing is the free data cap, but for casual browsing, it’s plenty.
Honestly, most free proxy chrome extensions are risky. I’d recommend Proxy SwitchyOmega if you’re okay with a bit of setup.
It’s not a VPN, but you can manually add proxies, and it’s lightweight AF. Perfect if you need speed and control.
Downside? Gotta find your own proxy lists, but it’s worth it for the performance.
Try TunnelBear! It’s not just a proxy chrome extension but a full VPN, and the free plan is decent.
Super easy to use—literally a bear tunneling through a map lol. Speeds are good, and no leaks.
Only 2GB free, but for quick browsing, it’s perfect.
Dude, SetupVPN is my go-to. Free, unlimited bandwidth (yes, really), and no logs.
It’s a proxy chrome extension with servers everywhere. Speed’s not lightning-fast, but it’s reliable and doesn’t feel sketchy.
Just don’t expect Netflix to work—most free ones block it anyway.
If you’re after speed, Hotspot Shield has a free tier that’s surprisingly fast for a proxy chrome extension.
UI is clean, one-click connect, and no IP leaks. Ads are annoying, but hey, it’s free.
Worth a try if lag’s your main issue.
Psiphon is underrated af. It’s more of a circumvention tool, but works as a proxy chrome extension too.
Free, fast-ish, and super stable. Doesn’t leak, and the UI is no-nonsense.
Great for bypassing geo-blocks without the hassle.
I’ve tested a ton, and Browsec is the best balance of speed and simplicity.
Free tier lets you pick a few locations, and it’s way faster than Hola or others. No leaks, and the UI is dead simple.
Perfect if you just wanna browse without thinking about it.
Wow, thanks for all the recs! Definitely gonna try Windscribe and Browsec first—speed and simplicity are key for me.
Quick Q: Anyone know if these work with streaming sites? Or am I stuck with buffering hell?
Also, TunnelBear’s bear thing sounds hilarious, might check that too lol. Appreciate the help!
