"Does a roblox proxy actually work for unblocking games?"
Hey guys, so my school blocked roblox (ugh) and I’ve heard about using a roblox proxy to get around it.
But like… do these things even work? Or is it just a scam?
I tried one last week and it was super laggy, so idk if it’s worth it. Anyone got experience with this?
Also, is it safe? Don’t wanna get banned or anything lol.
Thanks for any help!

Yeah, roblox proxies can work, but it really depends on the one you use. Some are just trash and super slow, like you experienced.
I’ve had luck with sites like Now.GG or Cloudflare Warp—they’re not specifically for roblox, but they can bypass school blocks. Just make sure you’re not logging into your main account, just in case.
Safety-wise, most free proxies are sketchy, so I’d avoid entering personal info.
Honestly, most free roblox proxy sites are hit or miss. The lag is usually because they’re overloaded or just poorly set up.
If you’re tech-savvy, try setting up your own VPN (like ProtonVPN’s free tier). It’s way more reliable than random proxies.
And nah, you won’t get banned unless you’re doing shady stuff ingame.
Bro, same issue here. My school blocked roblox too, and I tried like 3 different roblox proxy sites. Half of them didn’t even load, and the others were unplayable.
Someone recommended using a mobile hotspot instead—worked way better for me. No proxy needed.
Proxies *can* work, but they’re not perfect. The lag is usually because the server’s far away or just overloaded.
If you’re worried about safety, stick to well-known tools like Windscribe or TunnelBear (free versions exist). They’re not roblox-specific, but they’ll unblock it.
Just don’t use some random site asking for your login—big red flag.
I’ve used a roblox proxy before, and it’s kinda 50/50. Some games work fine, others are a slideshow.
If you’re just trying to play, maybe ask a friend to share their VPN? Or use your phone data if that’s an option.
Safety-wise, as long as you’re not downloading anything shady, you’re probably fine.
lol my school did the same thing. Tried a roblox proxy and it was so slow I gave up.
Then I found out about Ultrasurf—it’s a lightweight proxy tool that worked way better for me. No bans so far, but YMMV.
Proxies are a temporary fix at best. They’re often slow, and some schools block the proxy sites too.
If you can, use a VPN instead. Mullvad or Private Internet Access are solid choices.
And no, you won’t get banned unless you’re cheating or something. Roblox doesn’t care about proxies.
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! I tried Cloudflare Warp like someone mentioned, and it actually worked way better than the roblox proxy I used before. Still a bit laggy, but at least I can play.
Anyone know if using a VPN like this could get me in trouble with the school? They’re pretty strict about bypassing blocks.
Also, shoutout to the mobile hotspot idea—gonna try that next time.
Most roblox proxy sites are just reskinned VPNs with worse performance.
If you’re gonna go that route, just use a real VPN. NordVPN’s free trial worked for me when I was in your spot.
Otherwise, maybe try playing on mobile? Schools usually don’t block cellular data.
