"Does Proxy Mobile Actually Keep Your Data Safe on Public Wi-Fi?"

hey guys, so i’ve been using proxy mobile for a while now, mostly on public wifi at cafes and stuff.

but like… does it *really* keep my data safe? i know it hides my IP, but what about hackers or snoops?

some ppl say it’s enough, others swear by VPNs. idk, i just wanna browse without getting my stuff stolen lol.

anyone got real experiences with proxy mobile on sketchy networks? does it hold up or should i switch?

thx!

Proxy mobile is decent for basic privacy, but it’s not a full VPN. It hides your IP, sure, but it doesn’t encrypt your traffic like a VPN does.

If you’re just browsing casually, it’s probably fine. But if you’re logging into accounts or doing anything sensitive, I’d recommend switching to something like NordVPN or ProtonVPN.

Public Wi-Fi is sketchy af, and proxy mobile alone might not cut it.
i’ve used proxy mobile for months and never had issues, but tbh i don’t do banking or anything risky on public wifi.

it’s better than nothing, but if you’re paranoid, just get a VPN. Mullvad is solid and doesn’t log your stuff.

also, enable HTTPS everywhere in your browser—it helps even if proxy mobile isn’t perfect.
Proxy mobile is like wearing a disguise in a crowd—it hides who you are, but your actions are still visible.

Hackers on public Wi-Fi can still sniff unencrypted data (like passwords if sites don’t use HTTPS). A VPN adds a tunnel, so even if someone’s snooping, they see gibberish.

Check out Surfshark or ExpressVPN if you want better security. Proxy mobile’s okay, but not bulletproof.
honestly, proxy mobile is kinda outdated for public wifi. it’s better than nothing, but VPNs are the way to go now.

i use Windscribe—it’s cheap and has a free tier. proxy mobile might hide your IP, but a VPN encrypts everything, which is what you need on sketchy networks.

just my 2 cents!
thanks for all the replies! sounds like proxy mobile is okay for casual stuff, but i should def upgrade to a VPN for real security.

gonna try out NordVPN since a few of u recommended it.

quick q tho—does using a VPN slow down your connection much? i don’t wanna deal with laggy browsing.
If you’re just scrolling social media, proxy mobile is fine. But for anything else? Nah.

Public Wi-Fi is a hacker playground. Even with proxy mobile, your data can be intercepted if it’s not encrypted.

I’d suggest using Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 app + a VPN like Private Internet Access. Double protection, zero stress.
proxy mobile is like locking your front door but leaving the windows open. it helps, but not enough.

a VPN is the real deal—especially on public wifi. i’ve had good luck with CyberGhost, and it’s super easy to set up.

if you’re gonna stick with proxy mobile, at least avoid logging into anything important. better safe than sorry!
