What’s the Best Way to Use the Zillow API for Real Estate Data? or Has Anyone Successfully Integrated

"Is the Zillow API Still Reliable for Property Listings?"

Hey y'all, been using the Zillow API for a while now, but lately it feels... off? Like, data’s delayed or just missing entirely.

Anyone else noticing this? Or am I just hitting rate limits weirdly?

Also, their docs are kinda a mess—no surprise there—but still frustrating.

If you’re still using it, how’re you making it work? Or are you jumping ship to something else?

Kinda torn bc it’s *the* name in real estate data, but man, it’s getting shaky.

Thoughts?

(And yeah, I’ve tried caching, but that only goes so far.)
Yeah, the zillow api has been acting up for me too. Data delays are brutal—sometimes listings are a full day behind.

I switched to Realtor.com’s API for fresher data. Their docs are way cleaner, and the response times are solid.

Still use zillow for historical stuff tho.
Man, I feel you. Zillow’s API is like playing roulette—sometimes it works, sometimes it’s just... nah.

Have you tried Estated? Their property data is pretty reliable, and they don’t throttle as hard as zillow.

Also, their support actually replies. Wild concept, right?
Zillow API’s rate limits are a nightmare. I hit them constantly, even with caching.

Switched to ATTOM for bulk data. More expensive, but way more consistent.

If you’re stuck with zillow, try spacing out requests and logging errors—helps a bit.
Honestly, zillow’s API has been shaky for months. Their docs are outdated, and the endpoints just... vanish sometimes.

I’ve been using RentCast as a backup. Not as comprehensive, but at least it’s stable.

Anyone else notice zillow’s “for sale” data is worse than their rental stuff?
Zillow API is still my go-to, but yeah, it’s gotten flaky.

Pro tip: Use their GraphQL endpoint instead of REST—fewer timeouts. Also, set up retries with exponential backoff.

If you’re desperate, check out Redfin’s API. Less data, but more reliable.
Wow, didn’t expect so many responses!

Realtor.com’s API and Estated sound promising—gonna test those this week.

Also, the GraphQL tip is gold. Zillow’s docs don’t even mention it properly.

Thanks y’all. If the alternatives flop, I might just bite the bullet and go with ATTOM.

Anyone got a referral code for them? Lol.
The zillow api is a mess. I gave up and built a scraper for my needs.

Not ideal, but at least I get real-time data.

Before you go that route, try RapidAPI’s zillow wrapper—it’s a bit more stable than hitting zillow directly.
Zillow’s API has always been hit or miss. Lately, it’s more miss.

I’ve had better luck with CoreLogic’s data feeds. Pricey, but if you need accuracy, it’s worth it.

Still, nothing beats zillow’s brand recognition. Sigh.
Yep, zillow api is struggling. Their rate limits are insane, and the data gaps are frustrating.

I’ve been using Bridge Interactive for commercial stuff. Not perfect, but better than zillow’s residential chaos.

Anyone tried their new webhooks? Still buggy for me.
